Cazorla showed great tenacity out there today. He looked a bit disgruntled at the efforts of some players, but that is to be expected as we are still missing Sagna, AOC, Wilshere.
This team may take a couple weeks to gel, but I think the players showed great promise.
Gervs had some great moments, and was very close to getting a couple assists. ^^I think you’re being a bit harsh walcott. His performance today was equal if not better than his best last year. also, you’re thinking of casting aside jenkinson after one game?!? what kind of fan are you, gtfo.

poldi and giroud are both lacking sharpness, but that will come with the fitness.

I really enjoyed the game this afternoon.
New signings proved that they had the class Arsenal need. Diaby start to make good contribution, and that’s a good sign since Song will leave soon.
In fact, I was surprised with the creativity shown by Gervinho. In some cases, yes.. he still did what made me frustrated to watch, but the rest was just great.
I think they just need a little calm in the finishing part and I’m sure if they can and keep play the way they did this afternoon, more and more goals will come. I’m glad also that Arsenal started the season with a clean sheet.
It still the first game, everything can happen. Looking forward for lots of games to come…
well 1st: Giroud is left-footed so his miss on his first game isnt down to being shit: its just need to get confidence in and not react to quikly when got time to shoot.

Overal it s only the first game wait and see … better 0 0 than losing 3_0 to west brom or 5_0 vs fulham and swansea..

Welcome back Arsenalist! Love this site. The team showed promise and I believe they were unfortunate not to score. Carzola looked a beast and can’t wait to see what happens as the team begins to gel together. Also hope diaby can stay healthy. He can be great if he does.

Wish we had a result… it seems the chelsea style of play is contagious… i think if we faced a defense like today after a run of few games we would have been able to dissect them… need to have gervinho and walcott running at the back 4 making room between the lines for carzola, arteta and diaby… it was an ok performance, clean sheet for Arsenal seemed inevitable as sunderland barely had anyone in Arsenal half… podolski is good at holding the ball up the pitch… i was happy to see intent from diaby and cazorla, a less disciplined defense would have caved…finally we have more players going at it from distance… We look solid on the field and on the ledger… A not bad start cant wait for the next game…

For some reason the videos go black on me after the first “scene” in all the major browsers. The Flash plugin is up to date.
It’s only the first game of the season, and i think it’s too early to judge !! however by the end of september it will all be clear !!
we are facing Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea, and by the end of september the season could be as good as over for Arsenal, unless we manage to come out with good results it could be the spark the team needs to push forward as october is gonna a fairly easy month on the team ! let’s just hope for the best !

Ramsey should be loaned out to Bolton or Wigan , he’s not ready for the first team, not enough patience and shoot when should have passed to Giroud or Carzola ..
