lucky for us this time…ref had a bad decision calling that goal offside….but if ref goes in arsenal way once i’ll be glad

  2. z says:

too bad stoke crumbled at the end….atleast we’re above spurs!

  3. Tieneich (Taiwanese Gooner) says:

3 points earned. 3rd place we are. I am happy no matter what.

  4. one love says:

cool we won, I was unable to watch it consistently due to internet. But Really, why did Ramsey always miss chances?? can someone tell me??
But anyway, I amhappy he doesnt score because whenever he scores, someone dies or got captured!!!

    Pray for Muamba!!

  5. Henry says:

    Nitty Gritty win.
I’ve never seen a game where the referee had to make so many 50/50 calls, of which he did a good job.
Fading after 30 minutes it was really Everton’s game to score. Nonetheless, Gervinho was a good substitute and i was quite happy with Gibb’s performance whenever he cuts inside.
3rd place and staying there :D

  6. mofaz says:

Lucky the assistant ref. flagged offside because he was clearly on side..but the ref did’nt give us a clear penalty..so fair..

  7. Dave says:

To be what 11 points behind Spuds, and to win 5 on the trot and now be third ??? , few weeks ago we were doomed !!!

  8. Clinton Dawkins says:

@Dave Spurs shouldn’t be our measuring stick. Although to be fair they have gotten much stronger.

  9. dubbledubs71 says:

happy gooner tonight, 3rd place & all our near rivals dropping points, good nights work.

  10. conner says:

That was 100% a penalty on Rosicky, and Jelavic is a diving bitch. 3rd place feels good.

  11. Arschloch says:

ugly win but only spuds care.

  12. Gnostradamus says:

Everyone’s saying the assistant was wrong, but they forgot about the player on the near side (I can’t tell the number or name), who was in the offside position and got involved in the play. Normally he’d walk back to trick the defenders (and show he’s not “in play”), but by turning around the moment the pass was made and running towards the Arsenal goal, he became active and thus committed an offside offense.

  13. Reza says:

    Hi All,

For those who question the ref for his offside decision. Same referee, same team last season, they scored a 1000000% offside goal against us and the ref didn’t give a sh…t. It was fair to their goal ruled out.

    Cheers,

  14. KeepTheFaith says:

Just a small comment on the Liverpool game: Did anyone notice the reaction of the 4th official after QPR scored the 3rd goal? Notice how impartial his reaction is towards QPR winning the game… Very interesting! This shows you once again, everyone has a team they support no matter who you are. Just ask all the football pundits on skysport.

  15. Teguh says:

    @KeepTheFaith yup, very obvious :) .
Whatever, I’m happy we win and above sp*rs on the table

  16. grumpyoddman says:

@Gnostradamus : I also thought the same way. The linesman raised the flag after Jelavic moved forward directly even Drenthe was onside. So, I think it was a fair decision by the officials.

It was a great game and I certainly agree with Wenger that players showed a brilliant attitude which should be there for a top class team.

Well, Arsenal is on the third spot now. But, I still see football is a 90 minutes game and Premier League is a 38 matches competition. Hopefully they can manage the good run for the next nine games, at least, to secure the Champions League place for next season.

  17. A says:

ramsey hasn’t the level to play for arsenal

  18. Tieneich says:

This was the second game Ramsey came back from an injury. And he did just fine besides missing those shots and played as a winger. He played well when we had that run in October/November. His form dipped obviously, but the talent is still there. His lob pass is probably the second best to Alex Song at the moment. And he is best suited for a deeper role.

Though I do agree that he should be coming off the bench or sent out for a loan.

  19. Koolio says:

Ramsey needs time to develop. Its so frustrating to watch him in the middle of a park where there are 3 guys making runs, and all he needs to do is slide the ball but he goes side ways, even szczesny couldve made it.

  20. Clinton Dawkins says:

@KeepTheFaith How do you know the assistant wasn’t supporting some other team affected by the result? Referees do have their favorites but they’re supposed to list teams they support (and hate?).

  21. Jellykid says:

All i remember is last season when Arsenal played Everton, Everton had an A COMPLETE OBVIOUS OFFSIDE GOAL!.. even Moyes admitted it was offside. It was so typical that after the goal The whole Arsenal Team went up to the linesman. We still came back and won that game.

This season even IF it was a goal for Everton ruled offside, they should have tried to score again. But they didn’t so it shouldn’t be our problem. In all fairness we had the worst luck with decisions in the past season so I’M SO GLAD we’re getting these calls.

  22. gooner says:

ARSENAL ARSENAL FC WE ARE BY FAR THE GREAT THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. mofaz says:

which london club should be in the CL next season apart from Arsenal? Spurs or Chelsea ..for me neither ! Come on you Magpies get pass Chelsea and Spurs and grab 4th place..if Londoners want to watch a CL match ..come to the Emirates next season !!

  24. jfopwe says:

    personally,i want chelsea

  25. gunner says:

first of all am glad to see as win back to back, winning spirits and moral in our squad. i am glad to see diaby and santos back, but i really want to see santos tonight or next vs qpr. but i really prefer diaby to play some 2-3 games in the reserves and get him back to the starting line up vs wolves and wigan. It is good for his moral, if he gets injury again it will be very disapointing for him, i rate diaby high and he is really good with the ball, but he must stay 2 weeks away from the epl, to avoid injury.
3-0 to the arsenal will be good for tonights game. rvp 2, and gervinho 1.
i hope chelsea 1 vs spurs 1. and newcastle to win. so that arsenal to have much more gap between spurs and chelsea and newcastle to over pass spurs and chelsea later.
