yikes…seems like someone forget to tell arsenal that its the champions league and that they prly wont be here next season…
2-0 down at half isnt a great place to be..but not impossible of course

  2. badama says:

the 2nd goal was offside fuckkk

  3. arsenal says:

look at ibram, robinho, kelvin prince boateng, interchanging position to make themselves unpredicatable.

look at walcott who can only play on the right.. make arsenal attack so fucking predictable.. all the LB RB have to do is to sit still and wait for walcott to make a fool out of himself..

  4. Phoenyx says:

Koscielny is injured, Djourou has replaced him. One “shot” on target. 2-0 down. That’s not good! I want to keep the faith, but regarding the first half, it is very difficult.
It is a mistake, according to me, to put only one pure offensive player on the pitch, RvP… We can’t find him!!

  5. Goonerboy19 says:

Oh my precious lord…how do we always end up with djorou in all important matches. And yes we aren’t the old arsenal anymore…hope we finish fourth that’s all I can expect from this team.

  6. nickesh says:

    kos replaced n 3 -0 down… :( I hope we can salvage something for 2nd leg

  7. Phoenyx says:

    Difficult to watch…

  8. nickesh says:

good, alex is in…i will he will bring something in this sad game

  9. nickesh says:

good, alex is in…i feel he will bring something in this sad game

  10. Z says:

3 nil down … 25 mins left away at Milan….and the AC Milan coach Allegri is barking orders to his team…..AW delves into the depths of self introspection and deep thinking..

  11. nickesh says:

4-0 … How could it be over even before the first leg end? :(

  12. Adrien says:

Disgusted at how we never showed up djourou is complete shit
typical arsenal let down well by the loks of it its gonna
end in a trashing were now out of champions league. I am disgusted milan didnt even put ther best team out
. Arsenal youve let me down thanks a ton!

  13. Adrien says:

Yay pato is comin on to score. Hahhaa fak me

  14. raga says:

a logic advantage to play djorou.. i remember fulham lost against juve 1-3 and won 4-1, but this is worse.

  15. Adrien says:

    i need a smoke.

  16. Adrien says:

i am going to sign up for counselling at the local rape victim clinic.

  17. Adrien says:

Cant wait to here the excuses.

  18. goutham says:

arteta can kiss cl good bye this year…..we will be lucky even to draw in 2nd leg……..we r toothless in attack….only ox and rvp are good enuf to play….szsezny is helpless…..kos injured……we r slapped left and right and thrashed by some low moral italian side……..
hope kos injury is not serious…..atleast 4th place will satisfy my ego this season……….
    still IN ARSENE I TRUST

  19. goutham says:

poor guy fabregas must be thinking about his fate
hez not going to win laliga . on the contrary he must be crying seeing his former side screwing itself

  20. vlakkk says:

Awful just awful. Except 2-3 players, the rest of the squad doesn’t deserve to play for Arsenal. And the coaching team with first the manager got ZERO in their scientific experiment to build and win with a whole bunch of USELESS NOBODIES. I am sorry but I am afraid we have to bring Mourinho (if we can-want and we are fortunate) to stop the consistent DECLINE.

  21. Whatever says:

Obviously poor defending but absolutely no interest in pushing forward from the midfield. Looked asleep all night. Fuck everything about this organization. Owners won’t buy but will sell their best pieces, Wegner won’t change tactically, and the team tries to play “Arsenal” football without Arsenal quality players. All the while, the ownership raises ticket prices and all that BS just trying to cash in on a dying brand while they still can.

  22. Jellykid says:

i thought arshavin should have came on earlier during the second half for rosicky and AOC can come on for walcott. milan played 8 man defence and went on the counter… can’t do much about that, we were unlucky at times.

I lost all my respect for Zlatan after diving mad hard for a penalty and THEN CELEBRATING LIKE HE’S THE SHIT AFTER THE GOAL.

  23. Arschloch says:

rellay saddened, only 3 players fuck AFC, Ibrahmovic, Boateng and Robino. Disgusting Djourou and Gibbs. Love Sagna but he was shit. Midfield just beginners. Wings very loughable. My simple summary for this game.

  24. Henry says:

Cracks were exposed and punished by the Milan team. Credit to them, they showed up! A true lesson of the champions league : Quality inevitably destroys Potential.
Last year we were competing for a multitude of trophies that ended in a single week, this may be that same week this season.

  25. Arschloch says:

RVP could do nothing. No one helped and no delivery came to him

  26. jc says:

Been wearing the shirt for some 16 years and never have been so embarrassed as tonight. Losing, so decidedly, to Man U earlier this season stung, but it was a league game and early in the campaign. Wenger has completely lost the plot. He favors mediocre players that are not pushed from behind and somehow he ends up with the most injury-prone side in football, year after year. He must go. And a handful of players should go with him–Djourou at the top of the list. I no longer care if RvP leaves for greener pastures. He doesn’t deserve this crap; I only asks that he leave England so as to not punish the fans for his ambition. It took nearly ten years but Wenger has destroyed one of the finest clubs in Europe. Get the heck out, please.

  27. Arschloch says:

just forgotton, I hope AW wouldn´t misuse the quality of the pitch as an execuse. Such wel paid professionals must cope with every pich and circumstances whether muddy, rainy or filled with snow.

  28. icJgunner says:

    List of excuses:
    1)Poor pitch
    2)Diving Zlatan
    3)Should’ve been offside

    who am I kidding though?

  29. ImmortalGooner4 says:

Arsene and the team ….you really know how to ruin our week! WTF was that display! Djourou, Walcott, Ramsay, Rosicky and even Verma were pretty poor today (being kind). Why is that Walcott has NO strength! How is it that the midfield only know how to pass sideways, where were the incisive passes to bring in RvP or Henry? We really need a plan B in these kind of games and unfortunately for us, Arsene’s tactics were down the toilet from the first minute. I am sooo depressed after that soul destroying game. This season has been terrible! Someone cheer me up!

  30. ArsenalFan says:

After the first 10 minutes i felt we will be bad just like the manu 1-2 match till some possession & real chances make us back in the game but nothing happened till the end, we have been well pressed for almost all the game & they punished us. there were much space behind our fullbacks for all the whole match kos out was a bad thing he covered vermealen who had the worst game in Arsenal shirt ,first goal boateng ran from behind him ,second he didnt close on robinho as kos wanted to cover ibra if he shot , third he slipped(bad pitch, unlucky) there were problems in the midfield as they r too deep or not marking others leaving a free space. The mentality they had was wrong , they werent well prepared – too confident or what. Although i c something different in this year team (spirit, togetherness, not speculation about leaving ‘ except rvp but he doesnt do anything wrong he is so committed’) i hope today was an off day(which isnt an excuse but we should have our concentration because a good run in tha FA is our only hope & 4th place).

    Let’s support our team.The Arsenal

  31. NIzRil says:

Someday…..someday…..I really hope I would live long enough to see this team win something….

  32. GUNNER says:

we were punished and this is gameover! next championsleague play with reserves, now we must consentrate on FA cup and 4th place, if we miss 4th place and fa cup. then this shit owner must step down as well as wenger. arsenal lost their quality, this year’s arsenal is just shit and useless, u want prof??? ok, 8-2, 4-3, 10 points back 3rd place, lost 4-0 in championsleague( to be 1st club to lose by four goals), djourou, squalici, aluminia, rossisky, chamackh flop players and no title for almost a decade. but the arsenal i knew never had 1 flop player, they won titles.

  33. Gnostradamus says:

I thought the rants about disastrous performances this season were undeserved.

At least according to quite a few people…

  34. icJgunner says:

Many fans immediately assume criticism of players or the entire team is a betrayal of the crest.

I believe that criticism after these losses is well deserved although not particularly constructive. Obviously Wenger isn’t going to ever listen to the likes of those posting on these blogs and message boards. It’s really hard staying positive in times like these, and you shouldn’t feel like you’re double crossing arsenal to be more than a little upset by repeat poor performances.

That said, try to look on the bright side. Remember things could get worse before they get better.

  35. gooner says:

    come on arsenal
    come on arsenal
    positive
    next match win agaist suderland

  36. gooner says:

    @arsenalist stop being so negative

  37. Tieneich says:

may this be a blessing for us to focus on FA Cup and securing the 4th spot of PL. We lost our best CBs this season in two consecutive matches. Now we are left with Vermaelaan and Djourou.

  38. gooner says:

    nice first shot
    two legends combining

  39. gooner says:

    fuck you milan
    the second goal was offside
the last goal wasn’t even a penalty
    ibra tripped on djo.
it should have been2-0 which isn’t that bad

  40. gooner says:

at least this year there is no more carling cup

  41. otniel says:

@gooner, not mean to be rude, but the reality hurts really. Half of Arsenal players just simply poor! We trashed Blackburn 7-1 because they are worse than us. Against top class?

OMG this game really ruin my day, hope we can win against spuds with Vermaelen and DJOROU?.

  42. Jellykid says:

I still think Arshavin should have came on after i saw his reaction to the third goal, I had feeling if he wouldev came on it would made a huge difference on the wing.

  43. mofaz says:

Trashed 4 – 0 and we are supposed to find something positive from the match ..wtf. I sure want to know what was the game plan set out by Arsene. Attack ? Defence ? If the plan was to get a goaless draw then put every one behind to defend and let RVP as a lone striker up front but we neither attack nor defend. One thing positive is that it spared the fan from putting too much hope on CL success at least we wont reach the next stage and get knocked out by Barca or Real ..

  44. Jellykid says:

as much as i respect AOC, his inexperience is lacking……. you can even tell honestly all this hype about him has come back to the real world. He CAN cross but his decisions on where to cross at times especially when majority of teams will double the wings is kinda poor. He is good for his age but no threat in really big games especially like milan. Arshavin shouldev came on realisticly… his experiences against stingy defenses like these would have helped.

  45. mofaz says:

As a show of appreciation to Arsenal for giving Djorou a contract extension, he immediately repay in shit performance and gifted a penalty.

  46. mofaz says:

Best chance of a trophy is the FA Cup, don’t think we’d get 4th place to be honest because next month is March and Arsenal performance usually dips in March ..

  47. This kind of result is exactly what is needed – to show the people who are still delusional exactly what to expect until a total overhaul of the club is made.

  48. Jellykid says:

to be honest I don’t think it would even matter if milan scored 8 goals, it only comes down to how poor the team played and how much harder they have to give the next game to get back to their form or even reach newer heights. Being an Arsenal fan this long you might have noticed all the past bad defeats haven’t overhauled the club to buy rich talented players instead relying on working harder with the players and the players themselves working harder to compete on the top level. Us fan are always going to be impatient about it no matter what the results are in the future, because we want to win. That is always going to be the ethics of Arsenal. They don’t operate like the other clubs who would buy immediately to recharge their team to compete again on the top level but instead to compete Arsenal make the difference themselves.

Realistic Aspect of Arsenal you must endure. Did you think you were supporting a rich club like ManCity or MANU or CHELSEA who would idealistic on those terms of buying to rejuvenate the squad??… lol

Its just hard for people to accept Arsenals ethics. Hopefully we step up our game for Sunderland.

  49. arshavin says:

    @jellykid

i agree with you. we do things the right way. we dont rely on money and overspending to win games. we grow and develop our players, and when we do buy, we dont overpay or buy moneyfaced superstars. our ‘strategy’ isnt working that well, but im proud to say i support a team that builds a team, not buys a team.

  50. arshavin says:

for those still reading posts here, i would like to know your opinion. at this point in the season, given the state of the club, the finances, and the trophyless years, would you rather have arsenal win the FA cup and finish outside the top 4, or not win a trophy for yet another season but finish in the top 4.

  51. Henry says:

Trophy is more important. I think Arsene needs to finish outside the top 4 and get his overall bearings next season.
The trophy of the Fa Cup would relieve a lot of stress the club has been feeling, we need to win something not simply ‘ survive’
Optimism would spread and Arsenal fans will rejoice with such a win.

  52. Koolio says:

A FA cup trophy means nothing. I would rather be in champ league than that.

  53. gunns says:

    FA cup trophy we need.

if we qualify for UCL, then everything will remain the same. nothing ill change, we will not spend because we will still be ‘champions league quality’ which is good enough for the arsenal owner. we will also not have a trophy for 7 years

likewise, a trophy will rejuvinate. although we will not have a CL spot, we will have silverware. it will be embarrassing to not be in UCL, it will put us at liverpool level, but we are used to embarrassment now. we need a change within a club. we need a trophy because it is not normal for us anymore.

  54. asdf says:

    FA cup trophy for.

just a little fact, the great barcelona DID NOT WIN A SINGLE TROPHY for SEVEN YEARS before they began their current rampage.

    food for thought.

  55. Alex says:

Where are Walcott’s and Ramsey’s fans? I don hear you talking shit now….

  56. goutham says:

well guys i want arsenal o finish in top 4 and win fa cup if its not too much to ask

  57. goutham says:

    to finish

  58. Tieneich says:

@ Alex, I thought you were gonna be saying that Laurent faked his injury due to embarrassment.

  59. Big Dave says:

I’d say that even the more experienced players bottled it last night, particularly in the first half, where only Koscielny and Rosicky didn’t seem overwhelmed by the occasion. Then of course Kozza had to get injured! We were played off the park, yet only a missed offside, a very dodgy penalty decision, and a superb save by their goalie made the difference between 4-0 and 2-1 – and we’d have been saying “bring it on” had we got away with 2-1. That said, the performance was very poor and we need to improve to keep 4th place and have any chance in the Cup.

  60. raga says:

can’t we expect 5-0, 6-1, or 4-0 for extra at second leg? i think there are 2 options, playing reserve coz we’re hopeless & give up, or playing total offensive.

  61. Arschloch says:

    @Alex
i can´t deny both were shit yesterday. Will you one day admit they are good players if they prove it? Still you owe me a reply for my question lately.

  62. Srikanth says:

How does it matter if we are in Champions league or not, we dont get beyond the last 16 or 8, rather not make it wtih this pathetic team, no wonder Nasri realised it and left and i dont see RVP staying for too long and hope he doesnt too, he should try to sign with Barca or Man City. Arsenal would end up making money too. What more Arsene has made money and board is happy, who gives a rats ass about what the fans want ?

What has Arsenal win.. well we won nothing, who cares we are a well run club and we pride ourselves in making money and building a mediocre team and we are proud of that, we dont need to win anything and loosing to Blackburn and stuff is fine since we are a well run club.

  63. moGOON says:

It is really depressing when you lose so badly.
There are simple things we didnt get right.I dont understand Schez’s poor goal kicking at times.
Ramsey and Ros and Arteta didnt track back….
Aw should adopt a park the bus attitude sometimes, everybody should learn to defend and fight.
HIS INSISTANCE ON PLAYING RAMSEY IS BAFFLING.The kid aint got it.
how about lining up like this….
    …………….schez………..
    sagna….kos….vam……gibbs

    ….song…….couquelin…..
    ……..arterta……ros

    …..henry….VP……….

the mid needed a grafter who sat back and killed the game. The was a huge gap between mid and defence.
walcott, AOC could have come on later on.There was no pint of beeb so predictable. Why was Roskicy n the wing?
ah well am bracing myself for a massive comeback at home.We can do it, just as long as Djurou, ramsey are not involved.

  64. Mofaz says:

Arsene should just play 3 strikers and go all out attack in the second leg nothing to lose. Winning the FA cup is more important than finishing top 4. But my gut instinct tells me we are not going to get either.

  65. a.k.a gunner says:

    @srikanth

I am with you man. What’s the point in qualifying for CL year after year when we don’t have the squad or ambition to win it. I say we should qualify for CL only if we are gunning for it. Because, even if we have the glitter & glamour of the CL position, we never use it to sign established players to go ahead & win it.

Remember what Gazidis said, we are a building club not a buying club. One thing he didn’t say is we build only just enough to generate revenue by qualifying. We don’t build to win major trophies.

Come on… we have 60 K stadium, charge the highest ticket prices in PL, rich sponsors, yet they don’t want to build to win. That’s hypocrisy.

AKB (Arsene Knows Best guys) have been saying for years that our club is a work in progress and that next year is going to be ours, that Arsene knows what he is doing blah blah….

Who in their right minds would deny that we are weaker than what we were 2 seasons ago. We are not a club in progress. We are in decline. Sooner everybody gets it the better.

Let’s not overly criticize Ramsey’s & walcots & arshavins. They have their limits. May be that’s all what they have in their arsenal. And to ask more of what they are capable of wouldn’t be fair. The solution would be to get players who can do the job better than them (for that we have to wait till end of season). Until then, let’s give these guys our unbiased support for whatever is there to be salvaged this season.

  66. dubbledubs71 says:

things start getting any worse bendtner will be begging wenger to let him stay at sunderland. lets face it football has changed so much since we won anything. there is a lack of quality players in the epl & the standard has dropped year after year. only the mega rich can buy & keep top class players & even if there was money to spend what good player in his right mind would join arsenal the state we are in now. chelsea liverpool arsenal & united have become ordinary. qualifying for the cl is good for the club but there is absolutely no chance arsenal are gonna win it anytime soon, same with epl. we may as well try to win fa cup as thats our only realistic target. as for last nite, total embarrassment, i never saw a more dispirited, lack of commitment or desire shambles of a performance in all my years as an arsenal fan. no defending no creativity not an inkling of belief nothing. no players trying to track back to win the ball back where as milan had at times 3 guys on 1 trying to win it bk. expect nothing & you will not be disappointed

  67. Gnostradamus says:

“Let’s not overly criticize Ramsey’s & walcots & arshavins. They have their limits. May be that’s all what they have in their arsenal. And to ask more of what they are capable of wouldn’t be fair. The solution would be to get players who can do the job better than them (for that we have to wait till end of season). I hate it when people quote others and lengthen threads, but this is worth repeating. Vermaelen was culpable for two goals and there’s not even a whimper from the fans, who call for the heads Djourou and others all the time. The problem isn’t the players; it’s the club’s owners/management that are in it for the profits.

  68. Gnostradamus says:

Don’t forget Wenger said his goal’s to run small profits every year. Penny wise, pound foolish. We’ll lose CL next yr. Wouldn’t you rather receive and spend 30 million than not get it at all?

  69. Koolio says:

Apparently Wenger lashed out at the players today and are gonna start cutting the line up.

  70. Disappointed says:

    No expectation… No disappointment…

This season just enjoy the good games that Arsenal has… and forget about the rest… Anyway, Arsenal’s play in no longer as fluid as the past…

Although I am an Arsenal fan, I just wish RVP will move on to another club… He deserves classier players around him…

Henry should just come back and help out but not as a player… and I really like Viera… just too bad he left for ManC

As for the rest of the club management… just hope Wenger will wake up one day and realize that he is living in denial… that OCCASIONAL big money spending is definitely required…

  71. trrrrrr says:

    @a.k.a gunner: “Let’s not overly criticize Ramsey’s & walcots & arshavins.”

Yes, that’s right, let’s not criticize Arshavin, especially because the latter didn’t appear on the pitch that night. When he did the game before, he assisted.

You must be crazy comparing Ramsey vs Arshavin.

  72. dubbledubs71 says:

looks like pers injury is long term, just gets better gooners, one comes back two get injured, im thinkin some spuds fan put a voodoo hex on us. although things are bad it could be a lot worse, look at where portsmouth & glasgow rangers are at. there needs to be a major clear out at the end of season, too much deadwood choking the life out of the team. we need a leader on the pitch a scott parker ( i still cant believe wenger didnt sign him) type. theres not enough players with the never say die attitude just a bunch of headless chickens. oh well balance the books champions yet again!
