    @ahmed:

    go check espn3.com

    I just fail to understand why wenger would rather go with coquelin at LB rather than Ignasi Miquel, esp after Miquel has been so promising!.

    Worried.

  6. Srikanth says:

    Coquelin and Frimpong having very poor games, looks like its going to be a 1-1 draw, really hope its not so but doesnt look assuring.

  7. Ex-Arse-Analist says:

    big difference between Arsenal today and Arsenal last Sunday.

  16. nickesh says:

    great…. the damn thing is I keep wishing for the teams above us to drop points but it aint happening tonight….Next time I guess…

  17. Einareen says:

    Well, the call on the diving was right. Van Persie kinda threw himself at the player, and thats why there was a lot of body contact. Seems to me that he could have easily side-stepped that one, but since he saw the touch was too hard, or maybe he planned it too hard, he threw himself.

    Its what i think, and i try to be as objective as possible.

    Sorry to think this about you Robin, but… I think im right.

  18. bill says:

    Einareen, we have seen players do this time and time again in the league. Let me just mention last years Lucas/Eboue incident. Lucas throws his body infront of Eboue, falls down… you know the rest.

  19. Ex-Arse-Analist says:

    We are also lucky to have lessons and know where our strenghs and weaknesses. I hope next time we will be in a better shape. Ramsey should be rested, experience pays off. I think the way Vermaeln acted in the last minuets, it seems as if he is going to be sidelined as well, hopfully things will be better.

  20. USGunner says:

    @ bill

    totally agree, good example. Ref is suck in this case

  21. RavenousArsenal says:

    Benayoun so energetic everytime he play!

    beside that, frimpong and ramsey are totally sucks..

    walcott should be change for the OX i think

  22. KeepTheFaith says:

    What a game! Really lively and had me going through all the different emotions possible! Happy we got the win! 3 points, hope Chelski will do us a favour which will leave us 2 points behind tots!

    On the Ramsay comments: totally wrong! Guess you did not see the tackle he made when Villa broke from one of our corner? He was very dynamic in midfield and always created a passing option! Him and Fringpong missed Santos/Gibbs/Sanga/Jenkenson on the overlap! that is. Always the first pass they look for! Ramsay did lack that illusive creativity but he worked his arse off!

    Fringpong: he was not dynamic enough with his movements! That is all he missed! He did great in defence (he’s not a Song yet, but give him time), his passing was a bit off and that forced him to keep playing backwards! Remember, this is his first game since Olympiacos and before that Man C in Carling and before that? He needs a few games to get back into it, give the brick toilet some time!he will be a great inforcer next year!

    Coquilin: comments are also incorrect! Firstly he played way out of position! Secondly, after the yellow card he actually settled down and was a different player! All in all great make shift LB!

    On Mr Wenger: first time in a while he stuck his balls out and tried something new! Took of the tired players and that changed the game! does anyone realise he took of a DMF (the pong) and brought on a CAM (Rosicky)? That changed the whole dynamic of our midfield!

    Lastly, the many injuries at LB&RB might be a blessing! We have 3 (sometimes 4) CB on and or LB&RBs don’t get forward as much and this results in better defensive structure!

    In Arsene we trust

    PS. No one is complaining about Verminators mistake? Why don’t we react the same way about other players mistakes? Just a thought! Everyone slips up! Support the boys!

    WE DON’T NEED BAT MAN WE’VE GOT ROBIN

  23. Gnostradamus says:

    Einareen, I agree with you. When I first saw the clip I knew it, because RvP sucked it up right away like he knew it. Not even a teeny protestation.

  24. Jellykid says:

    @KTF I agree =]

    @Einreen NOT A DIVE!

    I see where your coming from and I did see the replays on the footage and yes RVP does seem to fall a little earlier but regardless if he FELL OR NOT, he still would have gotten hit by the defenders body. The defender couldn’t intercept or steal the ball ATM so RVP was going to get contact regardless! It wasn’t a dive and a clear penalty!

    Their goal wasn’t Mertesackers fault even though he should have read it better, it was Verminators short back pass that led to the goal incase anyone wants to blame Mertesacker. It doesn’t matter though.

    Our injury luck is horrible every year. We’re missing all 4 fullbacks for a WHILE!! how crazy is that. I MISS ANDRE SANTOS! He seriously makes our attacking options even better! I miss BACARY SAGNA too -___-”

  25. Tieneich says:

    Is this the second straight game that Ramsey had done some of those back heels and dribbled in the crowd things? I think he needs a rest, only to calm himself down a little bit and watch the old timers play. It will be a good experience to see how they deal with pressure (especially watch Arteta – which his future role may be; and RvP – who is great at controlling pace and reserve energy). Same with Walcott. When these kids are tired and hit a wall, they really just have to sit down and learn.

    This is a good game to start for Pong an Coq. Though Coq is played out of position, but I want to see this talented kid start. I wish we get to see them against the Wolves, too. I want to see Park as well.

  26. Clinton Dawkins says:

    In the last angle, RvP had his head down, and the Villa player charged into him. I can see how the first angles were more incriminating, but you can’t judge a player by his protests, because Arsenal players seldom protest these days.

  27. KeepTheFaith says:

    @Clinton Dawkins, don’t you like it when we just get on with it? I love the fact that the boys forget about it and just carry on! Walcott also had a foul in the box on him in the last 10min but he kept going and created the corner (maybe the goal corner?)! I watched the last few minutes of the liverpool game and it is really frustrating to see the amount of difing they get away with! Especially Suarres, but what goes around comes around!!!

    @Tieneich: no back heels! Think he just missed the dinamic movement of Song, The Brick toilet was a bit static but time will change that!

    @jellykid: imagine the comments on this site if Squid made the mistake that lead to their goal?? It is a very interesting observation…

  28. RosickyThe Boss says:

    Rosicky is getting better and better!! I miss the old Arshavin :(

  29. Tieneich says:

    @ KTF Add one more thing to it – his spins. The spins had gone on for quite sometimes. These elements he can master, and should not be rushed. Remember how Jack and Song burnt out? No, he didn’t have Song and he can’t always have Song on his side. He has to watch and learn how others do it.

    Time will change that and so will bench him for a few games or rotate him with others. He needs to watch and learn, then play and experience.

    Again, the same thing can be said about Theo. And again, this comment is coming from a long time Theo and Ramsey supporter.

    btw arsenalist…i have a favour to ask, if it is possible for u, put the downloads on mediafire host not megaupload, mediafire is really great and i dont think anyone might have a problem with it while megaupload usually slow for free users…thanks

  31. jellykid says:

    @tieneich

    I’m a Ramsey supporter and he has great vision and capacity to hold the ball if he’s playing with players that are able to compliment him like Song, Wilshere, Santos, Sagna and sometimes Arteta. But I’ve seen him do some things that he fails at a lot! lol, He does need a rest. His technical ability to hold the ball or dribble out of tough situations is OK if you’ve actually watched him closely this season, but he starts because of his tenacity and vision I believe and he is an attacking player.

  32. Curiosity! says:

    The Rosicky video isnt working. It says it has been deleted.

  34. mofaz says:

    Ramsey should practice his backheel passes on the training field before trying them during games ..its embarassing ..
