  2. nickesh says:

damn again as Djourou injured as well

  3. vik says:

LOL did anyone see when rosciky came on the TV said Bennayoun
    lol !

  4. jason says:

can u post the RVP’s goal? i cant seem to watch it on dailymotion and i heard it’s great!

  5. arsenalFAN says:

every van persie goal is a great goal

  6. tim says:

Good win… Arsenal should of won 5-0 with all the chances we had. The RvP goal was top class.

  7. Teguh says:

not a really good game but at least we won, happy anniversary 125 years

  8. John says:

also when frimpong came on the announcer said “number 27″

  9. muslim22 says:

    ARSENAL TILL I DIE!

  10. Ex-Arse-Analist says:

good win but many chances wasted. It is clear now who will survive the next transfere window. Every one played today is staying. We can expect new faces in January, once proved for many times the uselessness of some players. Three of them were on the bench.

  11. Gnostradamus says:

tim: “should of” -> *should have* been “should’ve”

Anyway, Ballon D’Or just demeaned itself by not having this man short-listed.

  12. Gnostradamus says:

Walcott’s clearly a great winger, but needs more time to wok on shooting before he can be considered RvP’s apprentice.

  13. Rookie says:

If Thierry Henry and the Female version of Dennis Bergkamp had a baby, he would take the shape of Robin Van Persie. Anyone agree?

  14. Norway says:

no. it`s just stupid. How old are you, 10?

  15. Rookie says:

If your referring to me, it was another way of saying he posses the skills of both the players. The finishing of TH14 and the tactical awareness and positioning of Dennis Bergkamp. A 10 year old wouldnt be able to understand something like that.

  16. tim says:

    @Gnostradamus

thanks for the grammar lesson mate. it was far too early to be thinking straight.

  17. dubbledubs71 says:

4th spot is ours..for the night at least. hopefully the spuds, chavski & neverpool start dropping points soon. good win today on this important day for the clubs history, could have won by more but a win is a win & it keeps the momentum going, didnt play as consistently when cesc & judas boy nasri were in the team i notice. just wish we could clone van persie’s football brain & implant it in theo, we would be lethal. rvp’s movement, read of the game positional sense & goal tally make him the best in the league by far and they should start making the statue of him right away cuz he is already an arsenal legend. arsenal forever A.FC

  18. jellykid says:

WHAT A GOAL!! yes we could have a scored more but WHAT A GOAL OF A ICEBREAKER!!!

  19. Emmnues says:

…indeed, what a goal, just superb!

  20. Norway says:

Without RvP we are screwed. I really hope Wenger gets us Podolski or another striker in January, someone capable of scoring goals.

  21. Charlie says:

Come on guys we have to give a lot of credit to Song , a perfect pass ,

  22. Tieneich says:

Song has become our creative mf this season. The crosses and and lobs are there. But don’t forget, Ramsey and Arteta also allow him to show his true potential. These three cover each other so well, and are constantly tracking and winning possessions back for us, connecting our offense from defense, and trying to keep possession. Ramsey has a lot of ideas, but not enough experience to put up great end products. I think with these starting opportunities and with Arteta/Song on the side he will learn very fast.

Walcott is improving every game. People were moaning about how he has horrible crosses, but he is finding form and proving them wrong. Gervinho and his finishing have to improve for sure. But it takes RvP a long time to integrate so many techniques into his arsenal. Walcott and Gervinho have to learn from him. Right now these two have lots of opportunity, but usually launch a powerful shot right at the goalies. I think Park has better finishing than both of them at the moment. However, they are young and they have bright future with Arsenal.

Anyway, is our LB position cursed or what?

  23. Martian says:

    @Tieneich

Good chance for miquel to shine.

I think our first time is quite strong. Can’t wait to see what Wilshere’s return will add to the team..

  24. dubbledubs71 says:

as if it couldnt get any better, the spuds got beat by stoke

  25. nickesh says:

oh yes dubbledubs….as if it couldnt get any better… :) now,we just 2points behind Spurs though they have a game in hand….It is matter of time b4 we overtake them as usual….

  26. dubbledubs71 says:

hell even the ref hates tottenham s**tspuds, well done chris foy, you played a blinder. why they are so hyped up about qualifying for the champions league when they cant even compete in the europa league is beyond me, i guess so they can get the money to afford to keep sick boy modric & that ballsack bale

  27. Norway says:

I am just wondering, when Wilshere is back, where will Goetze play, since every rumour says he is coming to Arsenal? We have Song, Ramsey and Arteta in midfield. And when Wilshere is back, does it mean Goetze will be on bench or will Arsene change the whole formation? Anyone who got clue, please explain.

  28. Tieneich says:

It just made my day. Now if later today ManSh*tty and Chelsea played a draw or Sh*tty loses, I would be so stoked.

@ Matian, I am happy to see that Miquel gets a chance to start. I just would be missing Santos’ attacking ability down the left flank. He really gave oppositions a lot to worry about. Plus when he was focused, his tackles were accurate like no others. I hope he comes back soon.

I don’t know if Gotze is coming or not, and I am not keeping the hopes up. Much rather see aother experienced striker comes in. It just seems like Arsene is a little disinterested in buying. However, with injuries in the back, the Alex deal may even come true.

Yes, we don’t have a creative midfielder, but our attacking style is creating a lot of chances to score from the side and with through balls. It’s not like we desperately needs a creative AM. When Wishere comes back, we’ll have a good back up until he nurse himself back. Then we have Rosicky and Benayoun to back up as well. We also have Frimpong and Coquelin (if he stays) who are improving. If Arsene really fail to buy a striker, hen we have Park (who can finish but just need games) and Chamakh who hopefully will be coming back from AFC sharp.

We really have a huge squad when injuries come back,

  29. Norway says:

I would love to see Podolski or Benzema though

  30. Gnostradamus says:

Wenger on RvP future: “football mathematics are not always completely logical”
    news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16133554.stm

    What does that mean?

  31. yappie02 says:

    @ Gnostradamus

    wat he maeans is this
sometimes football is not always 11 vs 11. when u have a F@#king ref, its 11 vs 12… or 11 vs 14 (linesman included)
    lol

  32. a.k.a gunner says:

I am not a Spud fan but that ref was a joke!

  33. Clinton Dawkins says:

jellykid: it’s deadlock-breaking, not ice-. Tieneich: Good point; I hope Chamakh gets back to form too, and AFC can’t hurt. a.k.a gunner: That kind of talks doesn’t belong here. :D

  34. gunner_ks says:

chelsea 2:1 up, so much for manshity’s unbeaten run :-) )

  35. Gnostradamus says:

    @yappie02,
Wenger had been “asked about his striker’s future” when he said that.

  36. Emmnues says:

the refs are beginning to influence results this season as they do every season – the winner usually ends up being ManU. I predict ManU back at the top of the league table at the end of the holiday season…

  37. a.k.a gunner says:

the Crap Invincibles – part 2 just got served!

  38. Tieneich says:

Shi**y invincibles indeed. Now let’s get’em while their moral is down. We are more direct and have more experience this year, so hopefully we’ll deal with their park a bus in front of a goal strategy won’t work.

Before this game, I really want to praise our new signings. They really bring a lot technically and mentally to the team and on the field. Last season’s talks of Arshavin, Nasri, and Fabregas leaving and Bendtner’s dissatisfaction are replaced by the likes of Benayoun, Arteta, Santos and Mert. While youngsters like Gerais, Ramsey, Theo are all getting chances to improve in a long run. It is such a joy to see our goal celebrations now days. I don’t know how to explain.

  39. gunnerKS says:

Opened the eurosport page this morning and this made my day: Spurs out of Europa League despite win
    hahahahahahaha
