THAT Carlos Vela move against Blackpool (video)
I own a Carlos Vela shirt and I want him to do well. I think he’s a very skilled player with the right amount of flare, and that with some consistent playing time he can be a valuable asset for Arsenal. He has been inconsistent over the last couple of years, but his talent is undoubted and he adds luxurious depth to our striker/playmaker role. Hopefully this year Vela can make his mark, if not in the league, then in the cups. He came on as a substitute against Blackpool and delighted with this little move which was blocked in the end. Great move nonetheless.
I dont think he was inconsistent, its just that in the last two season he was just 19/20 and didnt get too much playing time. There’s not much more you can expect from a player. Honestly I think he has the potential to be brilliant and will be in matter of time when he gets the experience he lacks. i believe Arsenal has some of the best young talent in the BPL right now.

Hopefully Vela can be the x-factor that can give us a moment of magic when it is needed most.
he will gradually improve his finish from the right foot. thats what theo is doing now on the right side. when he comes in he has started finishing properly with his left… and as time goes by so will vela from his right…

Mate what are you on about? 50p finishes are how Carlos Vela will be remembered? Nah mate, I think he’ll be remember for his deft chips over about 6 different goalkeepers while playing for the Gunners. This lad has a brilliant eye for goal when he gets an opportunity. Stop talking your nonsense.
I’ve always contended that Vela has the qualities to be an Arsenal great. I’ve liked him from the first time I saw him play & it’s not just his skill. He has a very cheerful disposition & always appear to be smiling. It’s a great shame Wenger has given him so little playing time especially 2009 season. Hopefully Wenger heeds our (Vela fans) views & gives him more chances to bloom into the world-class player that we KNOW he can be.
