I remember reading Fabregas’ quotes from earlier in the year where he kept on saying stuff like “I’m very happy at Arsenal”, “This is a great club” etc. and feeling at ease about his future at Arsenal. In his latest press conference, none of those quotes were surfacing and not hearing them left me a little dejected, and for the first time in a long time I felt like he was genuinely having second thoughts about staying in North London. He says he’s left his future in the hands of Wenger, but it’s naive to think that he’s actually 100% done that, without stating in no uncertain terms, his preference of where to play.
Fabregas should remember that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and as enticing it might be to play for the club you grew up with, it won’t always be the best situation. The Spanish giants tend to be impatient and reactionary when it comes to their players and managers, if Fabregas goes through a bad stretch and the club under-performs, the calls to import more midfielders will start almost immediately. At Arsenal, he has the commitment of the club and a manager who will stick by him through think and thin, in Barcelona, as good as they are, he will never have that. That place is a revolving door for most players and Fabregas could be in danger of being the next one on the merry-go-round.
Hill-Wood’s comments were stupid and didn’t need to be made, and I’m surprised a man in his position didn’t have the sense to weigh in the question he was asked and respond either ambiguously or just deflect the question. I’m not one to believe Fabregas is fickle enough to base his decision on something like that, but it definitely didn’t help his perception of the higher-ups at the club.
Moving to less depressing matters, we have been linked with Hangeland from Fulham for the 458th time and apparently have made an offer for Rodallega from Wigan. I don’t see us signing another striker after Wenger explicitly said that he was done with that position. Hangeland, I can believe, there’s been long-running interest in him and at 29 years of age, he’s a mature defender who also happens to be 6’4″ tall. Rest assured, we won’t be giving up goals like these with a guy like him around.

sley snijder, that guy is fabregases natrual replacement, he has been one of the best attacking midfielders and passers of the ball for years. just i remember watching euro 2008 and seeing his goal against italy where van der sar made the save of the tournament from pirlo, went out to sneider, he player the pass of the torunament to robbben, got it back and did one of the finishes of the tournament, in under 10 seconds. the guy is a must for arsenal if fabregas leaves, he also combines brilliantly with v persie.
rodellaga would be a really good back up player for injury prone people like nasri and shava (HAPPY BRITHDAY!!!) and would asdd steel upfront.
on one final note, i ive known for about a year where fabregas lives, when i was 16 i did a paper round on his road. i didnt know at the time it was him that lived on one of the houses, but i know now :p. the reason i see lots or arsenal players is i live in the town next to their training ground in hertforshire. so i see them shopoping and that.

Finaly, I was waiting for a statment from Arsenal about Cesc and to be hounest I was waiting for the worst. BUT now may day is made and my team for the worldcup is Spain again, I really started to hate them because of what they tried to do to Cesc.

Well, as most of the Spanish lovers know, the Spain team will be located in Potchefstroom. My plan is to litter this little country side town of us with a WHOLE bunch of banners for Cesc. I want to show him the ARSENAL love!!!
