Arsenal vs Barcelona Highlights 2nd Leg – 4-1 – Arsenal exit Europe, Messi Hattrick
Outclassed by a team that is simply better than us. Playing a high line killed us two of the goals we conceded were a direct result of that. The injuries were obviously an issue with Gallas, Fabregas, Van Persie and Song out, but it’s not like the manager didn’t know that he was thin on strikers and defenders in January. It’s naive to think that we had a realistic chance tonight. As a supporter you always hope for your team to pull through, but fact is that Barcelona are ridiculously efficient with the ball whereas we tend to waste too many opportunities. There were a few instances tonight where Clichy, Bendtner and Rosicky made a mess of things when a team like Barceona, in the same situation, would’ve made a goalie work.
The inability of the midfield to hold the ball, string passes together and build some confidence in themselves while building frustration for Barcelona was mandatory and it didn’t happen. Diaby, Denilson and Rosicky had poor games and couldn’t keep the ball when under pressure from Barcelona’s aggressive tactics. Other than having a difference maker like Messi, that’s the main difference between these two teams – they have the grit to get the job done when they need to and we are lacking in that area.
Eduardo looks like a shadow of his former self and Bendtner, as good as he is in the air, is unable to think with the ball at his feet. You can see it every time he touches it, he can’t anticipate the action and doesn’t have the vision and creativity required to finish those half-chances. Walcott’s good, but he’s far from a refined product and I’m wondering how long we’re willing to wait. With another chance at a trophy gone by the wayside, is it time to give the youth movement another year, or will Wenger truly and honestly make a legitimate run at a trophy by bringing in high quality, proven products.
It’s a disappointing day to be an Arsenal fan, and the only good thing about this tie is that it was a complete hammering and there was no question who was the better team. There are no “what ifs” to lament about, it’s an old-fashioned beat down and perhaps we can learn something from it. With our league hopes dependent on Chelsea and Man Utd dropping points, it’s unrealistic to think we’ll end up with a trophy this year, but as always you keep hope. The difference is that in years past, that hope was predicated on proven quality and not just pure hope alone.

dude the 1st goal 4 mes going to the 1st leg
question: how good would barca be without lionel messi?
answer: average.?
hat trick by the goaleador that is messi , the chip for the third is brillant , he outlclass everyone, no shame on us bad luck for the first two goal , deflection twice … referee is shit ( bad tacle on walcot no yellow , fair tacle on messi by denilson yellow… ) iam sad but i see a great spirit from arsenal but lets face it , barca got a great team
Well, they let us scored twice after all hopes were gone.
Can’t see us coming back again. German ref is fucking shit, Barca diving all over the place
Damn… I was so happy when Bendtner scored. Damn you Messi!
Damnit!! Lets see how the second half goes
Oh so close for a double…
Shit, 7 minutes to go and there’s no signs of us scoring.
4-1:’(
shades of man utd last year in tears as arsenal go crashing out of the league :’(
There were 2 golden chances n in each half that we din get n that could’ve changed the match! we lack an X-factor in our team!! Bad luck but i’ve never seen arsenal play with such focus n spirit! if they did this against other teams i don see y they cant win!!
N once again we see that in any tough game the more we push ahead the more we get trashed in defense!!
iam sad but not unhappy cos ok they miss they two central defender but we miss fab , arsha and most of all Song … i know its not excuse but i prefered to get the strongest in defence against barca attak than they other way ..
the turn of the first half for me was when diaby missed the pass t theo for the 2-0 when he choose bentner …
cos at 2 nil the game would have been different ,
then today we saw that barca is a gr8 team and messi he is one … a messia..
the score dont and should not make us blush , its life… if barca win the CL it would show that we were beaten by the strongest team in europe..
pep guardiola play a clever move in second half to not redone the mistake from the first leg and brought on def midfield ( toure)
it was always to be hard for us cos everyone know we love to pass the ball but as barca do it better it was hard to pass anything.. i mean in the first 25min barca had 126 passes for 36 for arsenal ( stat from l’equipe.fr)
well maybe we can get the title and now i got free wedneday and tuesday with the wife .. no more excuses lol
I fuckin miss RVP !!!!!!!
This match was a clear indication of y we missed rvp! i don mind bendtner but there has to be some1 else with him! at least for the big games! rvp was bandtner n eduardo combined i would say! quick feet good height good finishing!
Cant complain too much! just hope that week in n week out they put this sorta performance n the league could be ours!!
maybe next years
It’s true Gooner. That was really how we lost to ManUre and Chelski the second time around.
The best way was to put pressure on the opponents defense, but we couldn’t do it in these three times. It was rather unfortunate, but no disappointing to me. Maybe we get to have better defensive awareness, overlapping, or MF covering the next season.
That being said, I hope we get to play Barca again with Shava, van Persie, Cesc, Song, and Gallas (or a even better CB) next year. Lets hope for a better luck in the next CL campaign.
Now we get to focus on winning the rest of the league game.
Kudos to Messi. What a player he is.
ARSENAL till I DIE !!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCEXkik6Iuk
When B52 scored, I thought we had a chance. Then a tornado ripped us through in half. Jesus. If that performance wasdone to any other team, I would be jumped off my seat to cheer. But not tonight.
Maybe now arsene wenger can see how weak and thin his side were, and may buy ssome f**king players, his youth policy is loads of balls, why have campbell and silvstre, he needs to seriously buy, a few tweaks and arsenal fans wont have to wait on mere hope and luck, but quality instead,
Goalkeeper, defender, def mid, mid, striker, = lacking areas
Good post A-list! rightly said that wenger knew the situation way back in january.. n he knew that we would competing against such teams.. it is disappointing.. perhaps wenger is adamant that he can make this team of ordinary ppl work! But it is perhaps taking longer for this team to mature
But no matter wat i’ll still support arsenal n wenger! Go Gooners!
No excuse, they’re better than us hands down. We have to get some very solid players, starting from the goalkeeper and the back, to have a realistic chance to win the CL. Messi is only 22, so Barca can build a team around him to dominate for many years to come.
why are you so negative?
how can you judge eduardo who played about 20 minutes when the game was already done and playing against the best team in the world???
and our title challenge was only sustatined this year because of ‘hope alone’???
we came back from two unassailable point deficits and – even though I don’t think we will win the league – you cannot say that the challenge we put up this year isn’t down to the quality of our squad
the reason we probably wont win is because of there being more quality in united and chelsea, but the reason we’re up there is because we’re the closest thing to them at the moment
ungrateful fuck
We are not of their caliber, simple as that. Good effort from the majority of the team though, what more can we ask? If we are honest we’d all admit that half of our team today would have started on the bench if we had full selection. There was only a glimmer of hope with a healthy Song and Sol being fit but when those two dropped out a win here would have been legendary and stopped the entire football world. Barca are THAT good and we got a taste of that today.
That being said it’s not like we don’t have some comparable talent and I think with a few solid additions and improvement from some of our youngsters we could be looking forward to compliments like they have earned. In the meantime we’ve gotten exciting CL football and a thrilling title race out of our team. They can hold their heads high while being unsatisfied and aspiring for better next year.
I am happy because our players played well and tonight we were out classed by the best team in the world, we all knew this was coming. Some would say it was not fair, I mean none of our stars were playing in the match due to injuries. How would Barcelona have performed without Messi the scorer of all their goals? I’m not going to look back on tonight’s game. We are left in one more competition this season which is great because we cant concentrate now on winning the title and nothing else. Come on Lads the EPL is ours.
6 Arsenal Regulars out.
Might have been different result.
let’s buy messi !!! loool
I think you’re a little harsh on Bendtner. I agree he is not ready to be a lone top man, but if he had someone who was more skilled to play with him like RVP for a long run of games, I think he would surprise most people. He has all the skills/abilities one could ask for, but he just hasn’t gelled yet because of the lack of playing time.
well there’s not much to say, except that Messi is one heck of a player. He truly is. Good God, I couldn’t believe my eyes when he made those goals look so easy. Nothing much can be done anyway with the currently available Arsenal rosters. Not against a team like Barcelona. Well, there’s always next year to win trophies. Don’t lose hope, don’t turn away from Arsenal guys! Just believe and enjoy the football! Go Gunners! Go Wenger! Go Cescy!
Wtf dude, Bendter needs to go back to the hole he crawled out of…..
@thierryhenry hahaha I really can’t think of who, or what Arsenal would have to sell if they wanted to buy Messi. I imagine his price would be somewhere around 100 million pounds? And he already declared that he’d end his career in Barcelona. *sigh I wish Cesc would do the same.

KEEP THE FAITH, well played lads. A few important injuries less and we would have killed them. On to the Spurs we march! It is a 3 points everyone is hoping we loose!
In ARSENAL we trust, to all the fans who has lost patience. Go and support Man Who, Arsenal needs true fans!!!!
Arsene Wenger talked about belief. Didn’t get to see any of it.
Now, he will come up with statements like, “Messi best in the world”, “We were unfortunate in loosing lot of players” etc etc, but he would be fooling no one expect himself, to be fair.
The team that took the pitch today was not fit to wear the Arsenal shirt. As a supporter you want your team to show some heart and pride for the shit. Unfortunately, barring Clichy and Diaby and Sagna we didn’t get to see that from anyone. They seemed to be resigned, which hurts the most.
Another trophyless year. This would be the sixth year, and Wenger claims that we are one of the top teams in the world. I would like to know another top team which has this abysmal record.
@ Arsenalist :
much appreciated… didnt need that 2night…
can u also delete my comment from April 6th, 2010 at 2:39 pm, as he got nothing to do with the game or the site.. guess i said enough swear word front of tv not to add more in here, thx
as ” IT ” got nothing to do .. i got bad grammar i know
@arsenalx re bentdner: It’s true.
Well, I’m sure with our best lineup we could not stand against messi+barselona. Messi is just unstoppable, he manages with the ball as well as he breathe.
BTW I’m not sure Barselona would be that strong without him. This team is very, very good – but not THAT good.
And our team… It is just plain bad. We playing the very same football, but far worse – endless passes and then dumb cross, and that is the best the team can do. It’s not kind of tactics to win some trophey, sorry.
Anyway, let’s believe.
Barcelona are the best in world…no doubt!
Is this an Arsenal hate site or a Manu fan site? Most comments talk about our players being lousy or about not having trophies. Arsenal needs no glory-hunting Manure. What Arsenal needs are fans who truly get behind their team no matter what. Everyone in Arsenal played exceptionally well, of course other than the few individual mistakes. Weeks or days ago you Arsenal “fans” were using Almunia as a curse word. Today he made great saves and a 4 year old could tell that the goals conceded were not his fault. You criticise Denilson and he gives you a good performance. You criticise Bendtner and he gives you a pure poacher goal which shows you what a goalscorer he’ll be in the future. I don’t need any piece of silver for me to get behind my team. Why don’t you guys stop telling Wenger what players we need (which actually is what you want) and start telling the world how brilliant Arsenal is.
I still think that our lost to barca is due to the lack of experience in defending and a little bit of unlucky. The game tonight could be different if we manage to keep the lead until half time and if we have Song on the pitch. Wenger should definitely buy another defender to replace vermaelen and gallas in case of injury. silvester is too unreliable. too many important goals conceded were cause by him. I can accept Arsenal to lose but not to sloppy defending and easy goal. It is just sickening. but still, i am proud to be an arsenal fan. many had written us out but we still can challenge barca up until the 2nd leg and still in the title race. And we still managed to get a goal at Nou Camp without 5 1st team players on the pitch. I don’t think Barca can score against us without 5 of their best players. So, we have to give credit to Wenger and the players for this.
^ to echo these two statements above me I just don’t understand all the hate. We were missing a our best players/playmakers all over the pitch and the heart we showed in the first leg and at the beginning of the game are a great testament to our players and our coach. Some of the crap in here makes me think some of you just read the final score and didn’t watch the game. We had some great chances but we were just beat, it happens, but some of you guys sound like you are ready to jump ship…if after these two CL matches and games like the Wolves game over the weekend you wish to complain go root for whoever is in first place you freaking’ bandwangoners…a true fan rides with his/her team through the good and bad. It makes the good times that much more sweet once you get there.
Go Gunners!
It is true that we were missing so many key players. People tend to forget Song when mentioning that, but to me, he was the loss that hurt the most. He is the enforcer that everybody clamored Arsenal to buy. Yet it seems we also tend to forget that Barca was without their set of influential players. Ibrahimovic, Iniesta, Puyol, and Pique were all missing. So it goes on to show the depth of their team, or lack there of in ours.
While I do firmly stand behind in the current team, I am getting nervous about the commitment of current star players due to lack of success. Even Thierry Henry left Arsenal for Barca to win a CL, and he got one. (maybe two) But man, we are so close every year, aren’t we?
Anyway, fingers crossed for the final month of EPL. I really think it would be a kick in the nuts for the the Gunner-doubters out there if we win the league. I never cheered for Spurs**t in my life before, and it will be excruciating, but I would love to see them snatch some points away from Manure and Chelski.
And to all those out there critisizing Wenger, are you nuts? You tend to forget not only did he transform an average Arsenal team into where we are, he also laid the groundwork for future Arsenal team by building a new stadium. The impact of the bigger and better stadium may not show in the short term, but in the long run, it will really propel Arsenal into a world class team. So stop your murmurs, and start supporting! Show some Arsenal love!
Go Gunners! Go Wenger! Go Gooners!
Arsenal is building from the ground up. I.E. they are going to have a squad with players from across Europe that are coming though the academy. This is how all clubs have a long successful run, Man United had their time with Becks, Giggs, Scholes, etc. and Barca is enjoying theirs, next up is Arsenal.
It is really annoying when people complain about it now. In a year or 2 when we have a squad that is average age that is in the early 20′s, with a deep bench. Soon we will look like Barca and then, IF we want to, we have the facility to throw around money, like Barca did for Zlatan. Hopefully we just spend our money a little more efficiently than Barca and Real Madrid.
Arsenal is going to be set for a very successful, long run in the very very near future, quit worrying about the now. People are so harsh and cynical, yet we just made it to the CL Quarter-finals and we are “in the running” for the Premier League. No one was expecting this from us this year, disregarding that are squad has been decimated by injuries.
Regardless of the outcome of this season, I have seen HUGE improvements in many aspects in the club from last year/season and really looking forward to next year.
Not dissappointed only because i knew this result was coming. With so many Key players out how do you expect arsenal to be at their best and beat barca at the Nou camp. Our B team lost tonight so i dont really look at this as a reflection of what the team is like. We were absolutely on fire when RVP was leading the line. Eduardo was so promising before that C*NT taylor broke his leg. One thing i can say is we need more depth. Because barca had missing players but unlike arsenal their fill ins were world class too.
Being a fan is not bout just raving praises bout ur team all the team! u gotta accept the positives n the negatives!!
U cant simply say that Barca was the better side n leave it at that! there are probs in our team! every1 is talking bout us not hving our first team!! Barca were missing 2 central defenders , one striker n one midfielder! We were missing gallas, song, fabregas arshavin n RVP ! n how good were they??
Maybe we don hv the money to spend on world class players but the issue exists that we lack cover in certain positions n it needs to addressed!
We cant stick silvestre in CD with a match against barca n hope to not concede!
All said n done as i said be4 I’m proud of Arsenal n the spirit they showed! I would continue watchin n supporting the team no matter wat!
Sob Sob…..was disappointed with the result. Losing is part of the game but got trash is really sad.
Overall we had a poor game despite scoring 1st. Poor in attacking and defending. I know this is Barca we talk about, the defending champion but to play like this doesnt show we Arsenal enough.
Every individuals very poor on the field. Diaby was poor in the game and i was a bit upset with that cause he had a good rest on the weekend against wolve and he plays like that??? The only player that i can give credit to is Nasri as we can see he play his heart out in the game. But he’s alone to do all the passing, dribbling etc. while others very poor.
Enough said, the game is over and we should get on our feet back for weekend game against Spurs as i hope we dont fumble in this game. Come on Gunners!!! Beat that spurs and give a fight for that premier title until the end. Come On!!!!
I totally love this article
totally going to need to add this to the list.
Ok lets be fair. Barcelona did not play that good a game. Their back was shaky and althogh they had the ball most of the time, they couldnt do anything about it. True, barca without messi is good, but not better than us. We played well. Bendtner hit the post once. Clichy and Rosicky got nervous when finishing. We could have easily scored 4 last night. And Messi, his third goal, the chip after the header from Keita, was absolutely brilliant. That I must say, the other 3 were a mix of bad luck, a slight mistake, and MESSI! lol… silvestre can not handle such big games. No excuses though. The man we missed the most was Song. More than fabregas even. In the first leg he silenced messi, while today messi played around with silvestre and denilson. If song was there to handle messi, we might have seen a different game. 5 injuries, RVP cesc song arsh & gallas, is just a bit too much, and that too 4 of them are key players. We played well guys. Keep the faith!
Go Gunners!
Oh btw clichy was brilliant!
Outplayed by the better team! But i still feel we had our chances… even at 3-1 down we could have or at least should have done better with some of the chances that came our way, with about 15mins to play & 1 goal down who knows?!
But yeah, the reality of it is that Messi was the biggest difference on the night… I was also impressed how Barca kept winning the Ball back when someone lost it, in terms of attitude they were still ahead of us in defensive situations.. miles actually!
I am a proud gooner! with the kind of spending we’ve done & the squad that we have.. to have even competed with barca & still be challenging for the Premier league! If ur hoinest with yourselves you’d realize this is phenomenal… but doesn’t mean we got any trophies..
There are plenty of ‘what ifs’
…what if after scoring that first goal when we had another break Diaby had the option to pass it to either Bendtner or Walcott and he didn’t choose that slow coach Dane???
What if we did not have all of those injuries??
What if the players grew a fucking pair??
I love Arsenal but I’m not too sure about a lot of our current squad – still believe in Arsene though, love that mad cunt.
Fuck Spurs!
Before our first goal we were defending very well, and we also got the desired goal on counter attack. The moment we started to play high up the pitch things started getting worse. I believe we should have stuck to our initial tactic of defending and looking for the counter attacks. This same weakness was exposed in all our matches against Manu and Chelski. Anyways got to see Messi magic. Looking forward to the PL race. Go Gooners.
Hey i say we bring in 3 “elite” players. ANd when i say elite class i mean exactly that for 3 vital position, Center back, Goal keeper and striker. We need Dzeko or someone of that status (or potentially such as C.Cole). We need the goalkeeper in Russia Affekov or something like that or that guy from Germany we’ve been linked with. THen we need a great Center back, i prefer one of the hard knock ol school players in italy like chelleni or the guy from the team with pink jerseys. Add class with youth and we should beat barca. They also have youth but also have elite players. With a great defensive partner for Verminator, Cesc with song and nasri, arsharvin, van persie and another option like harzard fromo Lille. Barca will find it hard to beat us.
I just wish Wenger would be done with Almunia and play Fabianski in goal. He is never going to get better unless he plays games. The kid has got skill he just needs the trust in the manager that he wont loose his job if he makes a minor mistake. Same goes with Bendtner, as I said above.
Did Fabianski make mistakes in the CL? Yes. But, that is the biggest stage in the world. Almunia makes mistakes against the likes of Birmingham City and other clubs that we have no reason to lose to. I know Almunia kept us in the game against Barca in the first leg, but many goal keepers would have done the same. He is 32, he has done a good job at one of the biggest clubs in the world, if it were me, I would say that is a successful career and have no problem making a change, I wish Wenger would do the same.
i though we would win until i saw silvestre in the lineup, that guy is a clown.vermaelen and clichy were the best players out there.really hope wenger buy torres and someone as good as vermaelen also even chamakh. F— silvestre!!!!!!!!!
verminator Says: April 7th, 2010 at 10:36 am
i agree with you , i will never blame the player but silvestre isnt good for us , i would have even prefered a reserve player instead of him , wenger iam sure will buy a new cb as we need cover and gallas isnt sure to stay either , but remenber we do have djourou who will come as a good cb if needed , always better that silvestre, but iam please with our squad in the end, diaby came to good , song is great , nasri is good , bendtner improved a lot , walcott get better and better ( he will end up a striker sooon) sagna and clichy are on top , tvp soon back , fab if he stay will be even better , and denilson is a good sub, almunia will go number 2 , verminator is the best buy for money ,
futur is bright and we should all be please to see us on top year in year out , next year we go 1 step closer i am sure
everyone should read this:
http://legendaire.wordpress.com/2010/04/07/barcelona-won-nothing-for-6-years/
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=767284&sec=uefachampionsleague&cc=4716 .. finally .. this is happening, lets leap into the future and put bk these setbks behind. Btw, we ve got the experience the team was looking for. I m very satisfied with the team actually. I ve never seen so much spirit driven out during the second half.
clichy was especially awesome. Bendtner himself was pretty conscious abt turning with the ball. he lost it many a time though but we shouldn forget the fact tht we had upto 6 first team players out wit an injury.
wenger concedes he shud buy nw. ther definitely should be sm reinforcements.
I hope he finds some men physically fit.
J’adore ecrire ici. Fuck grammar !
@the few comments above
good to see that faithful still remain. I believe our time will come. Chelsea is fading away, theres no future in that squad, everyones getting older…. man united is getting poorer which will eventually hit them, and well, Liverpool’s gone already.
btw someone must look into our fitness coaches. its not just bad luck that our team is always plagued with injuries.
@munawwar….Thanks for the link. I agree.
I had absolutely no expectation of Arsenal winning this game. No Van Persie, Fabregas, Arshavin, Song, and absolutely no defensive depth forcing us to field Silvestre, and ultimately Sagna out of position when Silvestre was subbed. This season has gone extraordinarily well with the amount of first team players in and out of the lineup due to injury. True, I was hoping for a little more competitiveness against Barca (if Bendtner had scored his second goal rather than hitting the post, the game may have turned for the better). But there is no way you can expect a makeshift Arsenal side to defeat arguably the best team in the world. I’m very happy with the fact that through it all, we have remained extremely competitive.
And btw folks, the premier league season isn’t over yet.
Arsenalist, I think you wrote that blog in the heat of the loss. BTW, love your site! I am proud of this team, despite the fact that we may end up trophyless yet again. This team has spirit, character, and high entertainment value. I’ve been disappointed like all Gooners in the past when we have come up short, but this season’s team has really taken us for a great ride this year, and who knows, there might be some silverware at season’s end?
About Barca . . . well, the better team won. No shame losing to the best. Absolutely no shame at all losing to the best without Cesc, Arshvin, RVP, Gallas, and Song.
Come on . . . they have Messi, we counter with Silvestre. It was never going to be our day with that mismatch.
Agree with you that Rosicky and Diaby had stinkers. I’m especially worried that Diaby (other than the tackle that set Theo and Bendtner away) has gone back to his old frustrating lazy ways. His performances over the two legs were by far the worst of any Arsenal player. He had a purple patch in the middle of the season to shut up the critics a bit, but he seems to have slipped back into his old ways where he holds onto the ball far too long and eventually loses possesion. His back tracking during the Barca ties have been pathetic as well.
Disagree with you about Denilson. He’s lightweight, but his workrate has improved and he is relatively safe with the ball, even if he backpasses more often than not. Bendtner played well over the 2 legs as well. He had a hand in all 3 Arsenal goals. We need him to stay hot for these last 5 games. I think Denilson, Bendtner, and Clichy(is he finally back?)are the 3 Gunners that played close to their maximum against Barca. Unfortunately, we needed 11 players playing to their abilities, and not just three.
BUt this is not a time to be negative. Only 3 pts behind Chelsea with the SPuds (whom Wenger just does not lose to in the League) up next! L’pool and those same Spuds will do us a favour against Chelsea. ANd United definitely will not get 9 pts from SUnderland away, City, and Villa. Champs League is done, but Premier is still on!
Come on you Reds!!!!!!
i wanted to post a comment sooner but i couldn’t after the defeat against barca.
i want to mention something, i believe our team is good. the only problem is that they don’t believe in themselves against big teams. I’m sure when they come on the pitch against big teams they get nervous. only big players and proven players wont be like this.
for example RVP, Arshavin , nasri , gallas , vermalen , ( song and clichy a little bit ) these players really don’t afraid of big teams. i honestly believe fabregas get nervous against big teams too with all respect i have for him.
so the point of buying is that at least big players wont lose themselves against big teams unlike many other players we have now, but soon these youngsters is going to be fine with this issue , of course if we won some trophies this will help A LOT. trophies helps i’m sure.
another thing: if fabregas decide to go to barca , in my opinion he is going to make a big mistake, now at arsenal he is playing as a captain , but if he goes to barca in good situation he is going to play as a sub for the first year and after that if he proves it he is going to play every 2 games. that’s not something fabregas will dream of. so if he stays here, he is going to get every glory with arsenal in few years, I’m sure.
Lets just say that barca owned arsenal but i still love ARSENAL
one other thing
i see whenever someone criticize some players , some people come and say you are ungrateful and some stuff like this, i want ask them if we (fans) wants to see our players play well (simply play well), is it being ungrateful?…in barca game i saw many times that our players couldn’t even control a ball, i don’t doubt the player but it’s not mental strength as wenger always says, because in games against smaller team they can do that very well but not here or against big teams, i criticize our player for not playing well and make so many silly mistakes.
came across an article regarding comments made by sky sports commentators; andy ‘i wanna have messi’s babies’ gray and richard keys .

seems like the media is on an arsenal onslaught. another story i came across regarding vela and his absense at camp nou.

Arsenal may be lacking in attack and defence, but as ezekiel mentioned, we should be looking at the good qualities of Arsenal not, to say how our players have been lacking in skill and quality. Messi, wonderful player but somewhat, barca are a 1 man club. Messi,Messi,Messi. You still can’t rule out Arsenal out of the English Premier League.
Whatever, but Bendtner’s first was outstanding, excellent drive and urge.
