and vermaelen is god, forgot to say

  6. Mike Says:

Can’t believe we got through a match with Denilson at DM, Silvestre at CB, Fabregas hurt in first half , and Bendtner missing 3 sitters. Thank god it was Burnley at the Emirates this week.

  7. number1gooner Says:

    you are legend sir

  8. Tieneich Says:

Poor Bendtner. Couldn’t find the next this week, and got a reverse treatment from last week. I think he will be fine. Walcott’s progress is great, I can see the crosses, the touches, and shots are improving significantly.

    We are surging!!

    Hopefully Cesc’s injury isn’t serious.

    Thank you Arsenalist!

  9. gersece Says:

    Unlucky, Bendtner missed 4

  10. Singha Says:

Bendtner could’ve paid back the faith Wenger had in him by having the score like 7-1 by scoring 4 goals….hopefully midweek he will show something in the porto game & the remainder of the season for that title we all want to see go to the GUNNERS!

  11. Champa Says:

Great result – we look fresh and in tune!

Bendtner had a very good game: his touches were great, his passing, his defending, his physical presence – his finishing was just of a low standard today and a big area for him to still improve on.

He is definitely improving very well and he has a great attitude, the fans were great with him today too.

The game did get pretty rocky after him and Rosicky came off in the second half. Vermalen and Glichy had to deal with a lot coming down Arshavin’s wing.

Walcott at times shows these glimpses of magic, let it flow like the great Thierry!!

  12. maniarocky Says:

I said b4 and I am sayin it again. Bendtner is one dumb fuck !

  13. Nabz Says:

Bendtner is awsome just because he misses couple shots dont make him worthless he not messi or sum1 like that, cut him some slack and wait till he recovers fully..your the one whos gonna be buyin his top.=)

  14. gooonner! Says:

not a bad day at all, good to see arshavin back, damn i missed him, walcott’s bringing out some good stuff..
n @goooooooner lol…. seriously we owe a lot to vermalean for getting here. almost every game with us has been amazing.

  15. David Says:

    Recovers fully from what?

He’s been playing regularly since January this is March!

  16. Gooner Says:

Wen Arshavin came on I realized that we had been playing a really great game without him! almost like we din miss him! N he just came in n made the team even better! would be awesome to see that same team play at home against porto as well n whup their butts!

Bendtner just sucked! He doesn’t look like an arsenal player at times! He reminds me of crouch! I think he will get better tho n he has a good attitude!!

Walcott just played brilliant din he? amazing how some1 can hit back at critics so fast!!

`Some guy who sleeps with his mother.’

Awesome, I love reading your subtle comments for their goalscorers.

  21. Tom Says:

Any chance of highlights that show the Ramsey flags? I read that they were shown on tv, but was still in the pub when MOTD was on. No chance I’ll be up at 8am for the rerun. Can’t find a clip of them anywhere. Thanks.

Come on Arsenal, this league is ours!

  22. thierryhenry Says:

bendtner and silvestre should never play for arsenal they are a fu***** sh**

  23. Torgny Says:

Bendtner scored in the last two matches. Give him a chance.

  24. Akshun Jackson Says:

Van Persie, even in his current state (fucked) would have done better than Bendtner the other day but I still have faith in him – his positioning and vision was good. I think he will be better the more games he plays. Silvestre is still a United scumbayg in my eyes – Wenger and Pat Rice should take him on a boat trip and do a ‘Pussy from Sopranos’ thingy on him. (shoot him and throw him into the sea then have a post murder cigar)

  25. Akshun Jackson Says:

Brilliant work again Arsenalist – I dunno who you are but keep it up.

    Fuck Spurs.

  26. Sonofkick Says:

fabregas IS OUT of porto game… sad news but we r no one man team , diaby and nasri will be on fire..
when we look how nasri set up cesc goal u can adknowledge rthat he is a class player and diaby will bring power..
now just hope bendtner put is shooting boot on and that he dont wear square foot

    Sono

  27. gooonner! Says:

diaby nasri and song in the middle
arshavin eduardo and rosicky up front
    We’ll destroy porto!!!!!!!!

  28. budski Says:

yes indeed, Diaby & Song in the middle is the best available tactical approach Arsenal could use against Porto, because obviously we need to keep a clean sheet & create as much goals as we can. So I agree with gooonner!, put Diaby Nasri Song in the middle, but instead of Eduardo up in the front, I’d rather have Walcott. So Walcott on the right, Rosicky on the left and Arshavin in the center. Sounds like a victory to me!

  29. gooonner! Says:

    @budski
i honestly dont think arshavin in the center will work… he’s just too good on the flanks. thing is eduardo wins headers better and can fight through the bulky defence better. no doubt we should expect a physical game, im just not sure arshavin is upto the challenge immediately after coming out of injury.

  30. Sonofkick Says:

    @ gooner …
u got it nearly true.. but budski got walcott and we do get bendtner instead of eduardodo..

ARSENAL : Almunia – Sagna, Campbell, Vermaelen, Clichy – Diaby, Song, Nasri – Walcott, Bendtner, Archavine
PORTO : Helton – Fucile, Rolando, Bruno Alves, Alvaro Pereira – Raul Meireles, Guarin, Ruben Micael, C. Rodriguez – Hulk, Varela

  31. Tieneich Says:

I still rather see Bendtner in the middle, Theo on the right and Shava or Mozart on the left. Edu? I don’t know. At least Bendtner defends better and can “get to the right position” (not talking about netting a goal) instead of losing possession due to physical plays. With Edu and Shava, Porto will not even care to defend our corner and free kick (exactly how Chelsea and ManUre beat us – from countering our set pieces). Remember how Burnley started taking control after Nicky B got taken off? We had Edu and Shava on the field together during that time. By the way, Edu wins header better, yes! Compare to Shava everyone wins headers better.

Middle can either be Diaby, Song, Nasri (with Nasri in the middle) or Diaby, Song, Eboue (with Song in the middle).

Oh well, I think AW will find the mix. I will have no problem with it as long as Fab doesn’t start as our goalie.

  32. Sonofkick Says:

well the team u see above is normaly the team out tonight=;;; no eboue so far…(sad cos he does play very well at the moment)

  33. gooonner! Says:

well sono maybe ur right. but where can u see the lineup before the game starts?
anyways i think we’ll be ok… good thing about rosicky is that he can play comfortably in the middle, same as nasri. both have got good creative senses. my guess is that song will have a lot of work to do tonight. its also good to see sol back. and yup. edu and arsha are too small upfront. my guess is that we’ll see bendtner. it should be good. kinda nervous lol
    go gunners!!!!

french news l’equipe , they r the one who wrote the team out tonight , its why i say maybe .. but who know , they may have a mole in the gooner dressing room…
