arsenal didnt play that bad but we miss this to many good player to said we were in it for a win..

Every time fabianski comes there is some sorta error n wen i knew he was playing i knew porto had a chance! TWO sham goals wat a lame team arsenal have become in the last few weeks! my god! Their attack sucks! Their defense sucks! what the hell is arsene doing in training? they cant seem to create an attack for nuts! walcott n bendtner suck in attack clichy n sagna cant cross! fabregas is just turning everywhere looking for support but nobody is around n every1 is just being physical with him!!
Wonder how these guys are going to step up n perform!

I agree with you, Arsenalist, when you say our keepers are trash. But i think both Clichy and Sol Campbell played a reasonable match today.
I think personally this was one of Clichy’s better matches after his comeback from injury.
About our striker problems; we need Van Persie back, and really fast! Bendtner is good in the air, but he really needs to stock his legs.
I think Rosicky and Fabregas played well. And im a fan of Nasri so, he did allright

Well, was it like Arsenal playin ? I dunno, it was like some group of brats tryin to make a mark achieving all but nothin ! . Wht the fuck s wenger thinkin ? The second goal is just naive. You fucked up, it’s inexcusable but still you gotta know what’s going on at all times. Don’t give them the ball back when your teammates haven’t even got a chance to get into the box and set up a wall. Totally screwed up. What a shame. And is Fabianski Poland’s No.2?

ok people fabianski is not our problem… he’s just a kid, did anyone see casillas when he started off? freaking king of bloopers…
i still think denilson is one of our biggest problems. the minute i saw him walk on the pitch my heart sunk. he was practically non existent today, and the few times he did get the ball, he lost it or gave a bad pass. our style is on possession, good possession, which we lacked today, we kept giving away the ball. eboue gave hope in the few minutes he was there, bendtner was poor, very poor. but we never really got our game going. so many times diaby had to cover the back four, denilson was way out of position.
both goals were avoidable. but scoring just one goal wasnt good enough. porto really played well and deserved the victory. overall poor poor game. should have done better, even with this squad. i also think wenger should play ramsey more often, he gives amazing support to fabregas, which he lacked today.
i think with arshavin back and a few ‘easier’ games for bendtner, we should be able to defeat porto at the emirates.
its far from over.

in they last 14 game vs english team they draw 2 won 12..
arsenal for the team it was didnt playes do badly , i dont think we could have won the game , it was more like a draw…

I wont blame Bendtner, because he has just returned from injury, and he is rusty. He has done what he can, be someone in front.
Buying does not solve the problem, because firstly we dont have money to buy really first rate players. Does anyone watch AC Milan yesterday and see how Huntelaar plays? Is he better than Bendtner by a mile? No! If Huntelaar is good, AC should win the game in 20 minutes, instead of losing…
Denilson too–he is definitely not fit to play such a high tempo, but if your manager tells you to play, you have to play. I think Ramsay is worth trying…
Be careful–even if Song is back, he will not be fit enough
to salvage the game, and he is bound to be rusty and tired after playing so many games in the first half of the season as well as the ACN…
Sol is good–because he can boss people around in the penalty box. See–with him there, our defence is not so panicky at corners. But bad goalkeepers will make our players lower their heads…
Let us see what Wenger has to say after this game…

Nobody saw more of the ball than Denilson against Porto. Nobody made more passes, not even Fabregas, and no they weren’t sideways passes anymore than anyone elses. Just check out the stats and you see that he is only non-existent in the more prejudiced of minds.

Something which has not been mentioned is the ref….I believe he missed a good game….to meany foals without yellow cards for Porto.All they did was to break up the game with silly foals etc. and did not let Arsenal achieve some kind of rythem…If there where a few early yellows, it would have been a whole different game.But then again would it not have been without Fabianski???

fabregas rosisky n nasri had a decent game in supporting roles but we really din see much sharp balls into the box! maybe we missed arshavin but we’ve not been getting the results even wen he was there!
Porto played well n credit to them but its frustrating as an arsenal fan wen the team seems to find a way to lose or do badly!

1st goal: Fabianski worst goalkeeping ever.
2nd goal: The freekick was more Campbell’s fault than Fab’s. He didn’t need to touch the ball, and should never have. I actually think it was inadvertent, which is why he looked more distraught than pissed off. The GOAL, however is on the ref. Sorry gt, but the ref ripped the ball out of Fab’s hands, then placed the ball and backed into Sol, taking him out of the play. Legitimate quick free kicks (a la Henry) are when the ball is placed by the player, not the ref. Horrible HORRIBLE reffing, on the tail of not calling a stone cold penalty.
People who complain about Denilson just show that they don’t understand football.

When i saw Campbell in the start being outrunned by Hulk, I was thinking the worst. He did a good tackle in the end and after that one incident, played the match quite good. I think he did what he could in that match and stood up like a solid brick wall against Porto’s stars; Hulk and Mereilles
@DF Yes, i believe too that Ramsay is playing well alongside Song and Fabregas. But he is also very young. I mean we should get some more routine to that mid-line.

I am also upset that we lost the game, but the second goal was really Fabianski’s fault because he forced a difficult decision out of Campbell. Campbell was just unlucky enough to touch the ball. It looked like he was going to pass, then changed his mind and it all ended up in a mess.
However, you cant accuse the referee for killing the game. He didnt step on Campbell, and most certainly didnt grab the ball out of our polish friend.
Fabianski threw the ball and started to complain instead of watching his goal. Campbell on the other hand, realised what was going on a bit late, and Porto scored a goal. Not a good goal but still a goal.

The “quick” free quick thing is messed up and it is an embarrassment to football. It’s not of the interest to fair play at all. It’s a foul in the penalty box FFS. Shouldn’t the ref allow the defending team to organize a wall and prepare for whatever the attacking team will do? Tough lesson learnt for the young Pole; never give the ball away until the dust is settled and you’re well positioned to defend.

Umm 2 – 1 is no disaster pplz. we have an away goal. 2 – 1 is def beta then 1 – 0. and even then they were blue square disgusting goals which porto got lucky on. arsenal didnt play dat bad and to be honest even though campbell did that pass back u could see he didnt mean it and fabianski shuldve jus booted it out or atleast held onto the ball so porto culdnt get it. Campbell actually played well in my eyes for some1 whos been out for so long. beta then silvestre anyday.

Look at what the arsenal team has become, weak, poor attack, piss poor goalkeeping, look at the line up. We can all see weak players but who choses the players and maintains the squad it is infact Wenger! I don’t agree that Sol was to blame for the second and winning goal, first of all it shuldn’t have been a free kick, the referee had a terrible game. And secondly Fabianski shouldn’t have picked it up, he’s a football player! get it foot – ball, all he needed to do was play it to safety! He is solely responsible for last nights loss, and I don’t see how Wenger can not play Mannone for the Sunderland game. Personally I think Sol outplayed all the team tonight, fantastic Champions League come back, never once looked old, or past it, was consistently in the right place making the right challenges, and his goal was wonderful. I also like many people was very worried with the fact that Denilson was starting in midfield, he’s absolute toss and needs to be off loaded, but having said that, I think he had a good game, he was quiet and efficient, and if you look at the statistics at the end of the game, he completed the most passes and covered a lot of ground, so fair play to him. I also have to say Fabregas for me has been a failure for the last 4 games, he hasn’t asserted himslef in midfield and he gave away far too many balls yesterday and didn’t create no way near enough space. Also Rosicky had a great game, Nasri for me played well and Bendtner too, he was very unlucky not to get 2 goals, and Im very confident we can take them to the cleaners in three weeks at The Emirates. One last thing, leave Clichy alone, he was out for a while injured and yes he’s looked a shade of himslef since returning but give him time!

I suggest you all sign up to Arsenal TV online that way you would have the opportunity to watch the game again and also watch previous arsenal games.
Hopefully by doing this you wont be making such stupid comments about the players yesterday.
Fabianski is one of the best shot-stoppers in the league and if you saw more of his performances that would be easily noticed. The first goal was unfortunate and it was the type that could happen to anybody. For the second goal his only mistake was not to kick the ball away instead of picking it up. The rest of fault goes down to the referee who did not give time for Arsenal to form a wall considering the free kick was inside the penalty box.
Now if you watch the game and I mean Properly watched the game. Fabianski made a number of quality saves throughout the match and it really pisses me off when you fools ignore this and just focus on his mistakes.
Bendtner has just come back from injury and for most of the match he played alone upfront so he had little support. Despite this, every ball that came in his direction he won 9 out of 10 times. So WTF are you talking about saying he’s not good enough? he had a very solid game and if there was more support he would definitely get a goal. He is a very determined character and worked hard throughout the whole match, but you people dont even notice this just because he didnt score.
Porto played a very hard game. They were closing down on Arsenal whenever they could. This made it difficult for fabregas nasri and rosicky to put anything together. There was one moment which was a typical arsenal manouevre but it was quickly broken down.
Last year Arsenal lost 2-0 in this fixture and the year before it was a 0-0 draw. Last year we beat them 4-0 at the emirates and the year before we beat them at home. I suggest you do your research before you start your tirade of moaning.
My only concern is how jaded the team looked. Considering They didnt have a match on the weekend, I really expected them to be more fresh for this match. Maybe jetlag, maybe too much rest or maybe too little. This also affected concentration which if we had to an optimum level would not have let those two goals go in.
Im pretty sure Arsenal will win in two weeks time so shut your mouths about buying new keepers and strikers. The system works! All the genuine Arsenal fans know this. They probably have Arsenal TV too.

This game was very open, in a good day and even with those schoolboy mistakes at the back we should have beat them EASILY.
I mean arsenal can’t ask for much space!! against team like chelsea and man utd who have good and strong defence/ midfield it’s hard to play our pass&move game but where was the difficulty yesterday??
That’s why i’m confident for the return game, It’s only up to us. bendtner and others are on their way back.. with 2-3 more games played for them it can only be better !
To finish i really like what eboue is bringing to the team at the moment.

to tell the truth i’m not a fan of neither almunia nor fabianski… i prefer mannone… for me they make mistakes which cost… but don’t say that they’re not good… i hink especially fabianski is confidence in himself… that’s what’s lacking in him… also those that are saying bendtner is not playing well i think is due tto the fact that he has recovered from the injury lately so don’t expect him to do very well… overall 2-1 is not bad…
also when wenger signed campbell i thought “what the hell?” but when seeing the match he covered the defence briliantly… as if he’s 4-5 years younger!!! at home porto are an unbeatable team especially against english teams…

His fluidity is still missing. THis season has not been good fr him but this doesnt end here either for him or the others, there will be a time when everybody has to make a mark.
