I hope we sign chamakh in the summer,but i don’t think he’s good enough week in week out,if we have all this money why don’t we buy david villa and marcos senna and a good defender in the summer,with no major player losses we could be a force again,but wenger will just sign 5 16 year old’s and a dinosaur and we’ll have the same season again(sigh).ps do we own wellington now?

Is it just me, or are Arsenal fans by far the most negative, pessimistic fans in all of English football? Not that anyone can blame us, hope is hard to come by. We get punished for hoping too, as we saw with Chelshit and United. It would be so easy, if they didn’t do occasional shit like going to the top of the table.

Football, for an Arsenal fan, is masochism. We’re just waiting to be shot down. A deathwish, of sorts.

Is it strange to foster a burning hatred for your own team players? Wtf. Alumnia. He’s got his head shoved far, far up his asshole. Maybe, he just really wants to fuckin’ score a goal. For the opponents, if need be.

DG – I hear ya, but he actually was on the table for a while and the reason he wasn’t sold is because the price wasn’t right (as hinted by Wenger and their manager). I’m sure their success has something to do with them keeping him, but it was definitely the #2 factor here.

Bordeaux did not want to sell Chamakh because they qualified for the Champions League group stage and wanted to field as strong a team as possible. They achieved an ideal result in the group stage; winning 5 and tying one, which resulted in finishing at the top of their table and Juve not qualifying.

Bordeaux are also currently first in France’s Ligue 1, 6 points ahead of the second place team.

Sometimes its not all about selling players for money when you have a chance at both your domestic league and the champions league.
