You must be out of your mind to think I’m going to put highlights of that shit up!

Posted by Arsenalist on January 31st, 2010

Fuck man, Wenger! When are you going to realize Almunia is a sub-par goalie that wouldn’t cut it at Birmingham? When will you realize it’s unfair as hell to play Arshavin at striker against proven Premier League defenders? I don’t care how good the little owl is, he’s still TOO FUCKING SHORT to win headers, get on the end of crosses and control 50-50 balls like every other big league striker does. We need help and by help I don’t mean Nicklas Bendtner coming off and bumbling his way in the 12-yard box like he’s playing a game of hopscotch. Or are you thinking that RVP’s return in mid-March will be just like buying a new striker, because it doesn’t work that way.

I keep hearing that you got 30 million pounds to spend but you’re waiting for the “right player”. Fuck waiting for the right player, sign Chamakh, sign whoever the fuck, sign Michael fucking Owen for all I care, but sign somebody! We can’t be going into these big games with Arshavin hung out to dry, no? As for the midfield, we got some nice little options there but Denilson is not the holding midfielder Gilberto was and its about time we see it, yes, he scores a nice goal once in a while but he gives up far too much and just isn’t physically strong enough.

This team is probably good enough for a Top 4 finish, and that’s what we’re used to now but that isn’t what we want. I hate being in a race with clubs like Man City, Aston Villa, and goddamn Tottenham, I thought this year would be different but alas, it’s the same shit again. I don’t want to hear the “we’re mature”, “we’ve grown up”, “we have mental toughness” bullshit in a post-match interview after beating shit like Hull City, because those games should be routine and not even discussed later on. It’s games against Manchester United that you’re measured against and we’ve come up short – physically, mentally and talent-wise.

I love the faith in youth, I really do, but there has to be a better mix on the team, a mix that’ll allow our youth to come along and proven veterans to carry the torch in the major competitions. We need to be competing at all levels including the Carling Cup and FA Cup, and there should be no reason to send out a weakened side to any of those given our trophy drought. I can see if Chelsea or Man Utd send out a team of 16-year olds but not Arsenal, we haven’t won enough in the last half-decade to do that. Trophies are precious and its time you start treating them as such. Maybe that’ll even build some confidence in this mentally fractured unit that they can win something bigger and significant, like the league or Europe.

Why would you even mention Birmingham? Almunia wouldn’t even make their reserve squad, this guy is shit.

  2. pires Says:

    well said.

  3. CHRIS Says:

in some few weeks after one or two success ,we will forget everything as usual . as soon as we will not buy and have a big quality squad arsenal will never be a champion.

  4. Arsenal4life Says:

Man i dont even know wat to say i am so out of it right now my weekend is totally ruined

  5. Loksta Says:

Wenger has seriously lost the plot! what u wrote is spot on. almunia is a disgrace of a keeper. i think i could keep better with a broken hand! the guy is rubbish. and yeh, arshavin is NOT!! a striker. No way no how. y, y oh y wuld wenger put him there. u don eva c messi as a striker do u. umm face it wenger. if u come 2 a situation where u hav 2 do these kinda tactics u shuld realise u NEED MORE STRIKERS!!!! and a gud one at that. RVP is injured and the team is fucked. even he is more of a supportin striker. rememba wen arsenal won the league. HOw old was the team? big big difference mentally. if burnley can beat united then y the hell cant we. ok, fine we lost 1 – 0 or 2 – 1.. but 2 b embarresed 3 – 0 and get a shit deflection of a goal. arsenal were standin around like dummies that whole game. none of this quick passing/ movement and once again, no finishin, it takes our central defender 2 fukin score our only goal. P.s NANI IS THE BIGGEST FUCKWIT IN THE WORLD!

  6. Sandeep Says:

Well said, I couldn’t agree more.

  7. Ali Says:

Fuck Arsenal Fuck Wenger Fuck Arshavin Fuck Almunia and put all those 30 million into all ya asses, all ya life…

  8. gunners Says:

i agree, wenger needs to stop saying shit like “mental toughness” when we beat crappy teams, where is the “mental toughness” right now?… we’ve lost to manu twice this season, arghhhhh…

  9. GGMU Says:

hahaha … u were beaten by the best team in england twice … How did u even think u are going to win this LOL … :P

  10. lockdown12 Says:

Nicely said. Terrible game. Hard to say if we had Van Persie it would have turned out any different. If your center backs are going to get caught in attack like that, they had better damn well score a goal. Vermaelen finally did in the 80th minute, but by then it was way too little too late. When Manchester United’s second team defense has no problems defending your first team, minus 1 player, you are not going to be in any title race. I thought this would be a really good opportunity to leap frog United in the table, noting the number of injuries they have had all season. Boy was I wrong.

Wenger needs to be more ruthless in the transfer periods and stop sticking with players that are not good enough for a title race. Almunia is one of them, as you rightly pointed out. Gallas, while still showing flashes, needs to be replaced also. Eduardo needs to be sold, maybe Denilson and Eboue as well. As much as I like them as people, they’re simply not the right players for this team. Diaby is borderline, but could be sold for a good price if needed. Finally, if your only option in front of goal goes down injured, might it be possible you have an issue with depth at that position???

  11. Andy Says:

Lost respect for you as a person with this post. I appreciate all the highlights you put up, but it’s a bit annoying when you won’t put highlights of the games we lose up. It just comes across as a bit petty.

Also, your little tirade of saying “fuck this and fuck that” makes it seem as though a 10-year-old child is now writing your posts for you. I’m extremely upset by this loss as well, but things didn’t really go Arsenal’s way while Man United got ridiculous luck with their first goal.

Also, giving out that Arshavin shouldn’t have been played up front is a bit silly, he had an insane amount of chances, he could have set people up if he hadn’t been so greedy on several occasions, or he could have just not missed instead. That shot where he sliced the ball was a golden chance.

  12. fourstar Says:

Andy – I think it’s called passion? As for united’s ‘luck’, you’re just fooling yourself. We got shown up badly today and a lot of players went missing when they should have been stepping up. Not good.

  13. Arsenalist Says:

@Andy. Lost respect for me? Funny, didn’t know I had any to begin with.

And you clearly don’t understand the therapeutic value of using the f-word. Nobody got lucky today, we just got our ass kicked.

  14. Greg Says:

We have been BRUTALLY exposed against Chelsea and Man utd at home this season. Why the hell can’t we go away from home and play counter attacking football like that?

All our midfielders are too much the same type of player too small and too lightweight against a physical midfield.

Ancellottii and Ferguson got their tactics spot on – swamp the midfield and catch us on the counter.

When are we going to learn? We are going to get smashed at the Bridge against those arseholes!

Another season of promise comes to an end.

  15. lockdown12 Says:

@Andy…I agree with you about Arshavin, but his inability to finish his chances supports the argument that he shouldn’t have been put in that position in the first place. Arshavin is a Central Attacking mid, not a close to goal player like Van Persie.

As for the foul language, I’ll let Mr Arsenalist speak for himself, but sometimes you just have to vent.

  16. lockdown12 Says:

@Andy…that first goal may have been more Almunia’s bad play than Nani’s good play, but the second and third goals were HARDLY luck.

  17. nolaboyd Says:

It’s gutting but the season is not over. We needed at least 7 points out of these four matches, and we can still get them. But even a draw at the Bridge will not cut it.

To win a title with Arsenal’s resources, you have not only to be good, but also lucky. We have been the unluckiest team in the league for injuries…so it is an uphill battle at best. But while I’ve defended Almunia in the past, he does seem to have lost the plot.

  18. David Says:

    No videos today?

    Understandable.

    New Season. Same Result.

Cant believe there are people still thinking Utd were “lucky”

We have an absolute cock for a keeper.

    Jose Mourinho in now.

  19. errol Says:

I totally agree with what you wrote!
All through the game, i kept saying, “We need a big striker!”
    Even my 8-year-old agrees!!!

  20. albanian gooner Says:

    Almunia-idiot, Denilson-prick, Clichy-MONSTROUS. Arsen Wenger- fuck off.
We will never win anything with this man,and u know why? because he is thinking he is the smartest man in the world. From the moment i sow Denilson on the pitch i knew we are going to lose this game. I have said somewhere if Wenger decides to play with Denilson in the middle then he will do a crime against our tittle ambitions. He did it! Ok Wenger u can play with Denilson as much as u want, it doesnt hurt anymore.

  21. Sonofkick Says:

well well well boys… i am mourning today… we lost understanding…
    1) i would i love to c highligh today even if we were shit.. u did it b4 when we lost and u show greatnest (and fairness) in doing so
2)why always saying Wenger this , wenger that .. ? is he playing? is he giving 100% ? no, player have to stand up when they play shit and get shot dead..
    3) almunia IS useless but do you c any GOOD keeper available around? its rare during january transfert window..
    4) Need a striker true.. Remy from Nice is available for 13mill pound.. and some more i am sure but daydline is in 24h
    5) ok ok for the cup things… but do we have a big enough squad at the moment? no ! and we will never have cos we cant afford 1 so how do we do ? what do we choose?
    6) i hope for de better days and hope u will all still faithfull in our squad, its no time to give up , we will do at the end of season
    7) sorry if i was boring and if my english suck, forgive a poor french boy
    Peace
    Sono.

  22. Singha Says:

what a poor performance, i want to “keep the faith” but it’s hard when you go against teams in the big four with a sub-par team with a few big names here & there. almunia is shit! vito mannone looked very promising in goal but now he’s got this shit keeper who, i play keeper myself, needed to just punch the ball out of the box since there were defenders there to clear. arshavin had countless amount of times to put arsenal ahead and ease the team to carry on to get another goal. the season isn’t over & there is a long ways to go but in all honesty is they don’t win at chelsea title hopes are over!!!! chelsea are now 6 points clear of them but a game on tuesday it will be 9

  23. Singha Says:

carlton cole would be perfect for the team is big and has experience in the league & isn’t champions league tied or anything

  24. Sonofkick Says:

    Car. Cole is injured no?

  25. Gooner Says:

I really dunno y they panic in such a big game! I thought they really had a chance after their performance at old trafford! So disappointing!

N i don get y Bentdner had to be brought on! all he does is jump n catch the ball! he takes ages to create a shot! there was a moment inside the box in the last few min where he could’ve just passed to arshavin but instead he took 5 seconds getting ready to shoot! god!!

Tough to see how we can even draw with chelsea! only thing i see is they’ll probably realize that they have to play better now that they were creamed!

  26. mjwalker04 Says:

i say we got back to vito mannone because he was superb during the beginning of the season

  27. Saad Says:

    I completely agree.

Wenger’s choices (not just this season, but for the last few years) have been appalling. It’s absurd how he’s blinded by his own faith in the players. Complete and utter bullshit. Bah!

  28. linggis Says:

OK, I’m as upset as anyone, and I completely understand the passion in the heat of the moment and all. I can’t stand losing to Them either. But, “Fuck Wenger”? Are you saying that you would like to see another manager in his place? Let’s keep perspective in mind and remember that Arsenal IS Wenger, at least for now. (And who’s to say that we wouldn’t be worse off after that? The problem with today’s match was not that we don’t have a proper striker, or that we don’t have a brick wall for a defender. The real problem was that we weren’t playing our own game. What is Wengerball? We’re supposed to be good at slick passing, deft combinations, team play, skill at maintaining possession. Can you cite one instance today where we achieved that? The best display of Wenger-era Arsenal football in this match was by the opposition: Rooney’s goal. They showed us up at our own game, and we paid the price. I’m not defending our individual players, some of whom were extremely poor today, and I’m not saying that we can’t improve our squad. But the real disappointment today was that we failed to execute our own style of play. The Wenger style of football works, and we’ve seen it, even in the squad that we have now. Just not today.

  29. kirollos Says:

    well said

  30. Champa Says:

Quite surprised with the immaturity of this post, I use this site quite frequently for following matches and watching highlights but I wont be reading the content.

My fellow fans there is a difference between climate and weather. The weather is generally on average terms in comparison to all the other teams in the league very good for us. Today however, it was dreadful! But nonetheless, and this is the macro factor for our long term viability the climate is wonderful at Arsenal. We have moved up into the stratosphere of the football league under Wenger, we couldn’t ask for a better manager, he has balanced the books, brought us a new stadium, gems of talent and fans and trophies galore. In our history this is a spectacular time to be a gooner!

Whereas for others, the micro factor for them, United, Chelski and Man City the weather might be good the climate is on a knife edge, they are overly dependent on loans are private finance if these are marginalised these clubs will suffer.

Wenger is placing the train on a steady long term track, his biggest job is keeping this group together especially when the likes of Song and Diaby, the fringe players of yesteryear are stepping up with swagger.

The Daily Diss dot, and every other newspaper hack are going to be plundering Wenger et al tommorrow, but I’m going to be sticking up for my team when they need it most, this season isn’t over by a long stretch -

Victoria Concordia Crescit…OOOOOOoooooohhhh to, OOOOOOooohhh to be a Goooooonnnnnnnneeeeeerrrr!!!!!!!!!

  31. Panduuf Says:

    What went wrong…

    1. Arsene wenger’s tactics of all out attack against Man utd left arsenal exposed at the back
    2. shit players like alumina and denilson , walcott
3 Playing arshavin up front who is not a target man! and boasting about 30 million , why fucking boast if your so miserly in spending it
    4. Arsene wenger living in a dream land – he needs to buy players, whats the point hes developed players like flamini then sells, makes hleb good then sells, what next fabrgas then sells?

  32. dino gunner Says:

very disappointing performance today. The most frustrating part, is if Arsenal would have scored first, you always had a feeling that United would come back and make a good game of it. When United struck first (and then second), we just looked out of depth. Where’s the passion lads?

We need characters like Fletcher and Rooney on this team, individuals who just want to win and will sacrifice everything to ensure the result. Until we get that, we will always fall short.

  33. matt foley Says:

    well said.

the lack of effort is appalling and denilson shouldn’t see the pitch for the remainder of the campaign. what champa said is right too, regarding our finances, but there must be some reason to hold out hope if we’re sacrificing so much now. we need to win some of these games if for no other reason than to occasionally brag to the man united band wagoneers. i like to jab them a bit with pointing out that the berbatov bench-warmer transfer was the price of our team, but what good is that when we can’t even put in a respectable performance. arshavin is a genius, but it’s a shame that we strand him up there while our suspect keeper blasts goal kicks “near” him. wenger got outcoached again today, that and the apathetic defending is most maddening. but please, if we’ve got no in-game tactics to speak of besides dinky passing, let’s spend some money.

  34. John Says:

The bottom line is that Wenger’s policy has failed for 5 years. A wise man would change or revise his policy. Otherwise we’ll be in the same mess very year: a good team, but never good enough.

  35. The Mad Parson Says:

First, for all of you whining about Arsenalist dropping the F-bomb: Go read something else. Choosing to read something and then crying about how said something is offensive is just petulant.

Second, Arsenalist is spot on all the way ’round, as far as I can see, especially with Almunia. He needs to be dropped now. Put in Mannone. Put in Fabianski. Put in Szceszny. Hell, put in my eleven year old daughter who plays goalkeeper–IN LACROSSE. Anybody would be better than this mental goal-gifting sieve.

Third, the league season is over. Winning at Chelsea is improbable, and I don’t have the confidence that we can beat Man City at this point, either. Another fourth place finish.

Fourth, this really puts the Stoke loss in the FA Cup in sharp relief. Amazing how quickly a season can go to shit, no?

  36. americangunner Says:

fuck it i’ve had enough! i m supporting man city now! lol. j/k but seriously boss needs to get a striker! and denilson does not contribute anything to the team at all!

  37. ctgunner Says:

Spot on Arsenalist. Actually you’re post cheered me up as always. Keep up the good work. I was at the Emirates stadium today, flew from New York just for the match, paid $320 to get the ticket from a fucking scalper and watch ourselves played around like school children. I am also sick of this “we are mentally stronger” bullshit that Wenger says all the time. Wenger has transformed us to a selling club. At this point my biggest worry is not winning the title but but how long do you think players like Fabregas are going to stay at Arsenal if we dont win anythin and bring in players. Fabregas was not at his best today but his runs were incredible, you see the confidence in him that wasnt there before. He is hitting his peak and i definitely see him being a genuine for the World footballer of the year in the next year in next few years, but not for the gunners but for Barca; unless Wenger brings in players who can supplement Fabragas’s quality.

Fuck the steady train! We want to win something. Wenger is a douchebag for playing weekend sides for FA Cup and other trophies. Look at Fergie, he brought his best side for the Carling cup semifinal. It shows his desire for trophies where as Mr. Wenger is trying to build a Kingdom of Heaven. Not happening.

Fergie got the Neville brothers, Beckham in the plate from his academy but that didnt stop him from changing his philosophy.
I think its high time, that Wenger does away with his ego and learn something from Fergie.

  38. conner Says:

I understand youre frustration Alist. I am not giving up on these guys though, there is still a chance, we just need to buckle down…and some luck would be nice.

That being said, Almunia has always been a poor choice as far as I see it, Arshavin should never be a central striker, we need bigger more physical players, and we have such a tendency to choke it seems against teams like fuckin manu and cock suckin chelsea. So so so annoying!! I do not think Wenger is to blame mostly, I do think he relies on youth far to much, but he is the reason why Arsenal are one of the ‘Big 4′. I wasn’t able to watch the game, being in California, but I can picture exactly how it went down.

This season is looking more bleak than it ever has for a trophy, but never say never. Thanks Alist for the site again

    Go Gunners!!

  39. Andy Says:

Again, the first goal tipped the game in their favour. Before that Arsenal had the momentum. That crushed it. Okay, we didn’t do so well to recover from that, but with all those attacks that could have or should have been goals before Man United’s opener, it really was a cruel blow for them to score such a fluke from that cross.

Actually, I think Nani meant it. LOL?

  40. Ed Says:

Its true. Arshavin is not an all out striker and would do much better if he was supporting one.
We so badly need a target man. Bendtner just isnt quite there yet, he’s young and we don’t know if he ever will be. We never replaced the sale of Adebayor and you can pretty much count RVP out for the rest of the season.
Eduardo and Vela are supposed to be strikers but this season have been used more as attacking midfielders. Neither has brought in any goals.
So if there really isnt anyone out there for Wenger to buy then he has to speed up Walcotts development and stop keeping him on the fucking wing! Also Ensure the English F.A. and capello no longer take the piss and use him for both seniors and under 21′s.
Also we have a very good striker in Jay Simpson who should be brought back from the circus that is QPR.

FUCK IS JUST A WORD OUR ACTITUD IS WHAT SUCKS

yess i cry like a child when i see my team like that

    thankss from Peru

  42. gunner4eva Says:

It’s like a movie where an old man nurtures the hero and then goes against him. Similarly, Wenger raised Arsenal to “invincible” levels and now he himself is taking us down..what a pity!

  43. cupidjames Says:

that’s so true Wenger’s got to think this face quite seriously. Arshavin is not cruising through the defenders and Almunia is getting nervous when it comes to defending against good sides. The other matter of fact is Arsenal have been beaten in counterattacks most of the times as we have watching the recent matches. So, Arsenal’s defense is really getting worse and worse…

  44. Thinkforasecond Says:

There’s a shitload of hoopla about this game, and I am as pissed as anyone, but we have to put it into context. Think back to August when they came to the Grove and we battered them on all accounts until Diaby inexplicably headed into our own goal. Man U were better on the day, but I can remember Arshavin having at least three clean chances at goal, Song at least 2, Cesc had a couple of shots that went just wide or over. I’m not trying to be overly optimistic, but United just happened to take their chances on the day.

Look at the statistics. Shots 20(3) for Arsenal, 12(3) for Man U and we had the edge in corners and possession. Had more of those shots been on target, especially in the beginning of the game, Arsenalist over here would be talking about how Wenger’s promises are finally coming to fruition.

Yes we looked out of sorts (after the first and second goals), but really, get real. Wenger is the best manager in the world, Arsenal weren’t up for it tonight, but we’re only potentially eight points off the top with plenty of games left in the season. Man U WON the title last season beating cunts like Hull and West Brom, not by losing to Liverpool twice. Just calm the fuck down and get behind this team that we all love because we know how brilliant they can be.

But yeah, Almunia’s got to go. Absolute shit he’s been.

  45. Thinkforasecond Says:

I got confused, the August came was at Old Trafford. Apologies

  46. from J Says:

Damn fucking game. It sucks and they suck. We have every single right to complain about it. We knew that stupid Denilson couldn’t do nothing. Why doesn’t he press? Why doesn’t he chase? That’s what we call “alibi” defense. Yeah, he was there and jogging around Roony like a girl, and that’s why it is not his fault that ManU scored. Fuck you Denilson, you suckface!!! Wenger said “people still don’t know how important he is.” Yeah, right. It is so true. He helps the opponents to score. He is important for sure.

Let’s talk about the gook’s goal in the second half. Is it me, or did we just get the déjà vu? I clearly remember that, when playing against Everton, we got a stupid counter where there was no one between Al-crappy-munia and the scorer after getting intercepted in a dorky way. How did he (Denilson today, and Rosicky for Everton game) lose the ball that easily and irresponsibly? And more than that, why all the defenders were gone? What is this, kindergarten tournament or something? When do they learn? Not only Wenger but also the fellas. Don’t fucking slack off to defend, you morons! Left back is a piece of shit. How many times did we get attacked left side in recent games?

Oh man…We know that it is impossible to win all the games, but there must be the way to lose. You know what I’m saying? The way we can keep cheering them up, keep being proud of them. 1-4 vs Chelsea last season, 1-3 vs ManU last season, 0-3 vs Chelsea this season, and 1-3 again vs ManU today. They all happened at Emirates. This is a sort of insult. We remember Evra mother fucker saying “Men against boys”. We can’t even talk back to the bitch.

  47. johnny 46 Says:

From a die-hard Arsenal fan: If I was in Fabregas’ shoes I’d sign a contract with Barca yesterday. With this mentality, it’s gonna be another 5-10 years no trophies. Hell, than we would not even make it into top 4… a big FUCK, that was the right word.

  48. taz Says:

dont worry, we will beat chelsea and liverpool.

Bendtner will come good, as will the rest of the team, keep the faith.

Most of our players are just slowly coming back to fitness

  49. David Says:

I’d like to add several comments which might sound controversial to some.
    1. Only 3 players were good yesterday. Rosicky (did amazing considering the fact he barely played in the last 2 years), Song (The fact that he threatened so much on goal means bad to the others) and Vermaalen (intelligent and determined. if it wasn’t him, it was an humiliation). All of these 3 showed character and strenght, but just 3 is not enough.
    2. Fabregas wasn’t vocal enough yesterday. He was easily marked, tried leaving his mark on the game, but was terrible and had more inaccurate passes than he ever could. Looked like a carbon copy of his performance against Chelsea, and that is a bad sign.
    3. We need a boss in defence, someone to tell everyone where to go. It was Tony Adams, then Keown, then Lehman…we have no such thing today. Gallas and Vermaalen communicate well, but there’s no communication with Song, Denilson, Clichy, Sagnia or whoever else. I’d give the keys there to Vermaalen, I see so much intelligence and character in this guy, it’s amazing, even if it means getting rid of Gallas and putting a log there (Campbell, Senderos and Djourou could be a fit).
    4. After the Stamford Bridge match we’ll see well where this is going. In my opinion, if the season’s over (we’ll loose Champions League also, no worries), then it’s better and start thinking about next year. Give Vermaalen the keys to deffense, get Fabianski in goal and give him a real chance (this guy has fantastic reflexes, but is missing so much needed experience), give Ramsey and Vela the needed playtime to toughen up and live up to their expectation, shuffle with Clichy, Walcott, Edouardo, Nasri and Diaby so they could recover from their injuries and get back to their old selves. Start looking for buyers for Denilson and Almunia, i have a feeling these 2 are quite hopeless (and always have been). And godamn it, investigate why in god’s name Arsenal has disastrous injury plagued years all the time.
    5. This will make many people shift in their chairs uncomfortable but…start thinking what we’re to do when Wenger leaves. He wont be there for long, and to be honest, maybe it’s time to end this spell. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a fantastic manager, but he has flaws that I find to be unforgiving at times. For example, yesterday when we conceded the first, and later when we conceded the second, Wenger was face down, looked miserable and hopeless. If you were a player and would have conceded a goal, what would you have thought of this ? Would you have the hope and courage to try or come back or would you feel like a failure and that you have no one to look up to ? I’ve been an Arsenal fan since the day Bergkamp came, and this has always been the case with Wenger. It’s something you can overcome when you’ve got leadership on the peach, but since Viera left, there was no such thing in the grove (another issue with Henry, Cesc might have this, but he’s still too young and disappears in really big games). Try and think what look do you see on the face of other successful managers, have you ever seen Ferguson frustrated ? No, he has knives popping out of his eyes. Hell, even Martin O’neal and David Moyes are rarely looked frustrated (even in the 6-1 bashing we gave them). I love Moyes, and I believe the big club to snap him up first will gain a manager for life. Yes, Wenger is Arsenal at the moment…but I believe that if things do not change next year (I do not mean trophies, I mean Wenger himself), maybe it’s time to think of a change. Let the club rebuild, it’s bound to happen some time, better off doing that at a point where it’s needed and would more beneficial to the club.

    centre backs are ok
full backs are i bit of a problem
midfield is good, but could be better
wingers are just technical talents, no physical presence
the forwards… LOL short Europeans with no aerial threat..

yesterday’s match having plenty of crosses but no one tall and strong enough to deliver…johnny evans & wes brown is already good enough to match the attack… let alone saying vidic and rio…

i’m confused on why wenger decides to take sagna off rather than clichy…almunia is still alright, its only the problem of the defense coordination that is a catastrophe… and fabaregas shouldn’t be made captian so soon… if arsene still decide to keep the faith on current players, then we’ll have to wait for another season or two…or until robin to be lesser prone to injury…

wenger thinks he can spend £10 and win the league..LOL need new almunia and new henry!

Denilson is an absolute rubbish.I saw the goals several times and he was the main responsible for all of them.
on the first : he tackled foolishly and let Nani pass and score.
on the second : when he was just running back he didn’t look at Rooney who was going in the box and let him free if he had just looked at rooney not at Nani stupidly it wasn’t a goal for ‘em.
on the third : he controlled the ball in their half.
what a crazy way to stop the ball actually he passed it to an opponent who saw no one in front of him and easily scored.
if DENILSON wasn’t in we had done better.

This article hit the nail right on the head

  54. NO MORE ARSENAL Says:

FUCK OFF DENILSON AND ALMUNIA!! PLS SELL BOTH OF THEM!! PLS!!

    TOTALLY SCREW ME UP!! FUCK!!!

honestly i’d be surprised if fabregas stays for the comin season. why wouldnt he want to go to a club that actually wins something? and the only good thing wenger has done in a long time is buy arshavin. even when he sold hleb and kept denilson? what the hell was he thinkin!?!? i honestly think he just likes makin money and thts it… where’s the freakin pride left?

  56. Nabz Says:

Bye Fabregas 2010, Leaves Arsenal for Barca gd luck at your new club x

  57. ctgunner Says:

    Touche!

As a Die hard Arsenal fan, I wouldnt be suprised too if Fabby leaves. What is there to make him stay at Arsenal?

When we were becoming a force to reckon with, Wenger let Flamini and Hleb leave.

Wenger is a egotistical bastard mother fucker. I personally like Denilson, needs some time but Almunia is no where. Maybe he should dye his hair again.

  58. gooonner! Says:

no really get hleb back!!!! and denilson is shit… he doesnt know how to cover the back four… i think eastmond did a better job against bolton (the away game)… he put in a few good goals here and there but no way he can deliver in the big games… our only hope is vermalean… that guys been outstanding this season…

Man, what a horrible end to my weekend! And to think I was so excited about this game, obviously I always thought we would lose, bt ou have to have optimism. I don’t know wether to agree with your decision to not host the highlights of the game. Obviously we lost and it is devastating to watch but it can alos be interesting to try and break down where things went wrong. I do side with a few comments made, that Man Utd got slightly lucky. I was at the pub with my girlfriend, A HUGE man utd fan, and even she said that they got lucky. Arshavin was very very unlucky on the day and yes Wenger should have brought Bendtner on sooner and yes he should have done this and yes we need to sign so and so, but come on….. You have to belief, above everything in football. We can go to Stamford Bridge on the weekend and we can win, if Hull City can get a draw and Everton then we can punish them, we just have to show more passion and belief on the pitch. I was shocked at some of our play, slack on the ball, un responsive, lacking the will and drive to close down and get in on the hard tackles…… But got close, and I know close isn’t good enough when you’re challenging for the title. But we can still win, we had a great start to the season, Van Persie’s injury was without a doubt the single worst thing that could have happened, but Fabregas has played astonishingly well this season, I just wonder how long it is till he leaves for Barcelona……….
