The boys looked pretty good today. Maybe a little lackadaisical in defense but the attack looked dangerous pretty much constantly. Hopefully Fabregas’ little hammy strain wont be a big deal.

Great win, i’m just a little worried about the 1 odd goal we’re letting in, an in form team like chelsea or man utd can exploit us a whole lot more, AW should address the situation but then again it doesn’t matter if we’re able to score more than we concede but we should keep teams like pompey at bay.

Thanks for fixing that, Arsenalist. I’m making a goal archive. :)
Though I don’t really agree that we need to look at upgrading Almunia, despite the fact that he totally didn’t own his box on that goal. Maybe someone to push him. But the whole team was just playing like it was a cakewalk…there were two unmarked players in the 6-yard box. That snapped them out of it.

that 1st goal was amazing, because of the skill of Eduardo. He went around the defender like he wasn’t even there!!

The only position that hasn’t outscored our forwards, is the GK. However, I am not disappointed. Arshavin made some nice runs and some great passes. It’s just a matter of time (hopefully next weekend) for him to score. V. Persie was a little unfortunate today. I am sure he will score soon, too.

Our back 4 were not as impressive as the last 2 games. But perhaps the slumping Portsmouth didn’t give them much to do, except Gibbs who got beat half the time off the dribble.

I think it will be nice to keep this starting XI against the Celtics on Wednesday to rest some key players. We can still use Wilshere or Ramsey in the middle since it’s a home game. Maybe we can rest V. Persie and get Bentner a start again. I wonder what we can do with this line up against the Celtics at home: Almunia, Gibbs, Vermaelan, Gallas, Eboue, Song, Ramsey, Diaby, Denilson, Bentner and Eduardo?

Also hope Djourou can come back soon to give the CBs some days off…
