Really felt we should’ve won this 4-0. Eboue and Bendtner missed great chances which could’ve sealed this tie. As it is we got some defensive work to do in Italy.

we played well and really we should have won with more than 1 goal:(……. eboue was good too he’s coming to his good form!>…

  3. farshid Says:

BTW…cant we use arshavin in europe league?!

  4. Simon Says Says:

no we can’t. he’s ineligible, having played in every group game for the zenit in the competition.

  5. conner Says:

Bendtner’s shot was horrible. just a bad miss. If Eboue would’ve shot for the net after one touch I think he could have slotted a 2nd one for Arsenal, but overall I’m happy with a win and we better be sharp in Rome for the 2nd leg. Go Arsenal!!

  6. clueless Says:

The commenter was really critical for both misses so am I. Bendtner needs to know that he has to have a better conversion rate on the amount of chances he has and Eboue well he is a great right-back.

  7. Loksta Says:

1-0, narrow but i dont feel gutted at the result. Really shouldve been 2 – 0 but this is where bendtner should prove himself. Wasted chances. Lot of key players out and with Ade, and eduardo back for the return leg who knows?

  8. Loksta Says:

sorry away leg , my mistake

  9. Ganesh Says:

good win.. but we should have won 3-0 at least.. good thing for the away leg.. if we score one they have to score 3 to win..go gunners…
    PS- Bendtner is awful :X

  10. Edible Nacho Cheeseball Says:

Great win for Le Gunners. I’m not particularly disgusted by 1-0, although 3-0 would have been.. nice.

Bendtner in left middy was as lost as Eboue in left mid. Ok, so he did a little better than Eboue.

Cheers to Wenger for ingenuity in playing 4-2-3-1, effectively allowing us to dominate the tie. Eboue was really strong on the right attacking slot, where he actually looks home. He actually attacked more than he defended today (untypical eboue) and actually looked like a danger man. If I were Mexes I’d use a 2 man marking on him.

Gotta keep pace, if we go 1-0 up at Rome they are done.

i thought it was a really good game, obviously we should have killed it, but with eduardo and possibly adebayor back for the second leg we will be in business. btw good job to Eboue, sure he missed that chance but he played alot better usual
