Arsenal vs Bolton MOTD Highlights and Goals

It almost looked like those sneaky little rats from the north were going to get a point. The goal was a long time coming, Adebayor should’ve scored but decided to doodle around with the ball instead of firing and later RVP (best player on the pitch IMHO) struck the post. Bolton were officially playing a 4-5-1 but it looked more like a 7-3-1. I’m just glad we cracked it.

Why does it seem every game of late turns around once Nasri goes permanently to the middle and Vela goes out wide? If we played that way from the beginning instead of wasting 63 minutes of having Diaby in the middle (although he did push out wide left his final 10 minutes or so) I believe it could have been a comfortable win instead of another nail biter.

  2. Arsenalist says:

Hey hey hey…I like Diaby but yes, Vela deserves more time, he doesn’t makeup for the pace that we’ve lost with Walcott but he does run at the defense far more than Diaby.

Another victory by another late goal shows that we are ready to enter the title race again. We have luck back to us.Now it’s the others’ turn to taste being unlucky,I hope.If liverpool lose and chelsea and man UTD draw,It we’ll become a very close race between five teams including AV.I must confess that they play good and their results are outstanding. But we must wait and see what will come.We have 17 weeks to go and I know we are the champion.Do you bet?

  4. Patrick says:

What is it about Bendtner? He scores and does this “look at me, I’m fuckin’ brilliant, eh?” walk. I can’t stand it. Someone should remind him that only Henry can do that ’cause he was fuckin’ brilliant.

Nice finish though from a sweet little RvP dink of a cross.

  5. Patrick says:

Excellent. Stoke 0 Liverpool 0 and apparently Liverpool really stunk in the process. Top five could be all starting to tighten up unless Chelski win tomorrow.

  6. jck says:

I’ve never been RvP’s biggest fan, but this year he is proving me wrong by staying healthy, scoring big goals, and actually turning provider. All the better since Adebayor is nowhere near his scoring pace from last year.

And with Cesc out, Nasri should start in the middle of the park every game. He’s literally the only legit creative midfielder we have left and shunting him out on the wing makes both him and the midfield as a whole much less effective. Until this injury crisis is over, Nasri and RvP are Arsenal’s two great hopes.

Thanks for all the good work, arsenalist. The only problem now is that Veoh isn’t available in every country anymore, due to some comercial reasons I think. So I for example can’t watch this MOTD highlights. (but I guess there are more, I’ll look for them)

  11. Dino Gunner says:

I think the video highlights are great. Sometimes I miss games (the 7 AM ones are hell) and this gives me a chance to see the goals rather than read up on them.

Keep up the solid work arsenalist!

    Hi,

Thanks for the clips. I think you mean Gary Megson instead of David Moyes… I can see where you can mistake them… They’re both ginger monkeys :)
