Arsenal vs Wigan Highlights MOTD – EPL December 6th

During the game:

We’re winning ugly which is just as good as winning pretty. It’s a comfortable 1-0 lead because Wigan aren’t threatening but at the same time we’re not dominating either. I’ll take it.

After the game

Game over. Match Report. Commentators piss me off. Eboue got booed, so what?

We looked really sketchy down the stretch. If the game would have been 5 minutes longer we could have given up an equalizer.

Eboue did have a horror show. That was extremely weird.

    Eh, I’ll take it.

  3. Alex Says:

    Please give Eboue a break.

He is a right back, coming back from injury, clearly not match-fit and he is asked to fill in at left midfield.

He’s only human. I have some friends who met him and Toure and from what i hear he’s very popular in the dressing-room and a very gentle guy. So gooners, please support the team and that means Eboue as well.

Last night for the first time in decades, I was ashamed of being an Arsenal fan. Even the co-commentator (whos comments during the course of the game were so anti-arsenal, I thought he was sp*rs fan) felt it was disgusting. Its such a shame really. Black day for Arsenal FC

What the hell are you talking about thearsenalway.com?

  6. vaardo Says:

WHat he’s talking about Bob you daft twat is that a true gooner does not boo his own player. It negates home field advantage. The Emirates is supposed to be our fortress ..not some theatre of stupidity where the home “fans” boo their own team. Disgusting. Not only did it effect Eboue – he has teammates who obviously were aware of the rough treatment. He just got back from injury for chrissakes and was playing out of position. Arsene should shoulder some of the blame for what happened on saturday. Yes Eboue had a horrible finish to the match but gooners have to know better. Save that treatment for a cheating twat like Ballack or John Terry.

  7. One #10 Says:

I really think Arsenal needs more true fans, who don’t boo players but who cheer for them. Yes, Eboue was poor (at best), but he is nevertheless an Arsenal player and booing the team you support is never ok.

As long as we have fans like these we do not deserve to be champions.

I can’t agree more with L.D at Vital Arsenal.

Welcome to the Score Sports Federation. It’ll be nice to have a Premiership blog on the roster. Even as an NHL blogger, I have lots of interest in the Premier League. As for your Gunners, they are just an obstacle for O’Neill’s Villa (Well, nice to dream, anyway).

    Cheers and good luck…

  9. Edible Nacho Cheeseball Says:

Eboue had a torrid time out there but it’s important we get behind him. Those who are flying to Portugal, better cheer for Eboue. (I know I’m not. Haha.)

  10. Edible Nacho Cheeseball Says:

All right just kidding. I think our chances of beating Porto are pretty 50-50. I’d be content with the draw. Eboue, the Flying Wingback!! He is the greatest Ivorian wing-back the World has ever seen.
