That Robinho flick was beautiful.  Reminded me of Carlos Vela’s work in the Champions League.  Realistically speaking we’d have to run the table from here on in to win the league and I don’t see it happening.  In fact, I don’t even think this team is capable of winning two games in a row on the road.  The defense always seems to be caught trailing the ball and the midfield is more concerned with not losing the ball than trying to attack.  It’s a sad situation, the swagger that Arsenal plays with is missing and has been missing for some time.  It saddens me.

Gallas is no longer captain and that’s a move that came about a year too late.  Whining twats shouldn’t be captains, that’s the golden rule of captaincy.  Don’t make twats captains. Look it up.  Here’s the list of Arsenal players that are not “Arsenal quality”: Bendtner, Denilson, Hoyte and Silvestre.  I’m on the fence about Abou Diaby because I think if he develops his other foot he might amount to something good.  He’s got Adebayor written all over him.

These are sad times to be an Arsenal fan.  I think the goals should be a top four finish and to qualify for next year’s Champions League, forget about winning the league and maybe start getting this club back to respectability by grabbing the Carling and FA Cups.  At least they won’t keep talking about the lack of silverware in the last three years anymore.

To talk about the game a little, Citeh was running circles around us.  Their first goal was lucky but the second was pure class, they deserved to win because they were better in all areas.  Our most aggressive threats came from Gael Clichy bringing the ball up from the back with some speed but he was cut down just past midfield in most cases.  The midfield is toothless and Fabregas needs help, maybe the injection of Rosicky in 7 weeks time might help and maybe Eduardo can provide the inspiration up front because one thing is for certain: Bendtner is on the outs.  Vela didn’t start because of his long Mexican flight, not too sure if he could’ve helped since our midfield didn’t provide enough ammunition for the strikers to fire.

Bad, bad run we’ve got into.

At this rate, we will not qualify for Champs league. I’m tired of all the passing

Need win at Kiev, win/draw Chelsea. Arsenal should just take the 4th. Go for the CL, CC and FA. We’ve gotten into the 06/07 run (i’m sure most of you remember that.), getting really unlucky here and there. With clowns like Bendtner making the scene a whole lot worse.

If we win at Kiev, there will still be hope. I really hope our team will be more or less fit by Chelsea.

    Our back-four in this game:

    Gael Clichy (1st team)
    Djourou (Bench)
    Silvestre (Derby Material)
    Hoyte (Reserves)

    Midfield:
Nasri (1st team who only performs at home.)
Denilson (The new generation of Eboue. Welcome.)
    Song (Mess-up drop-out.)
    Diaby (Genius Dribbler, drab passer.)

    Forwards:
van Persie (impulsive powerful striker who blasts all volley about 80m high.)
Bendtner (Key defender for Liverpool, never fails to mess up. Was he even playing today?)

Ramsey (The only good player in this match.)
Vela (Tired, generally brought on to make the team look a little more impressive.)

I still think we can challenge. But it will be a weak one. We should just focus on Silverware. Carling Cup is most available for us. Then there is the CL. A little difficult but I think Arsenal can do it as long as Wenger buys someone in the transfer season in January.

I agree that it is a sad time to be an arsenal fan. Feels pretty much worse than being a liverpool fan watching Peter Crouch 2 years ago. Can someone ask arsenal to start buying?

  4. Steve Says:

Seriously, Hoyte is 18 and you are going to write him off after 60 mins of league football?

  5. robin banks Says:

i think arsene wenger needs to add some experience and quality in january. we need some physical players that will show some leadership and get the job done. also i think that hiring a former arsenal player such as martin keown as assistant manager or something would definately help kick the players into gear when things aren’t going well.

  6. clueless Says:

I think that denilson still has what it takes to be arsenal quality but sonng is just a fringe player that should be able to get a sniff at the bench.
The bad habit of over passing not going away anytime soon Wenger should really change the formation to spread the player. A 4-3-3 or a 4-1-2-1-2 should at least force the player to make longer penetrating pass. Player are force to roam to get a pass instead of a compact midfield.

  7. I.D. Says:

I won’t complain. I just hope Wenger has now seen the err of his ways. For sure changes will be made.

This is a bit depressing, Bendtner starting up front. Silvestre our second best defender in the middle, maybe? All the injuries.

On the bright side though we have some of the best young talent in the EPL and some money to burn, it’s not a long road back to top form. I will be watching closely to see the quality and tact in the moves Wenger makes, it will be the tell all.

why are the vids hosted on an islam website? :( i feel insecure xD

side note:we need transfers, now. fed up of seeing inexperienced kiddies play. ive put up with this for 5 years already!
