This fucking blows. Another bad decision, another loss. It’s been the story of our season. Senderos fucked up large twice but we had this game won until the ref intervened. AGAIN!!!
Liverpool are diving cunts, Masscherano is a twat born of multiple whores etc. etc. He picked up enough fouls to be red carded based on principles alone.
Sorry for the language but I am tired of seeing Arsenal lose or tie despite deserving to win. This is not exaggeration, we have gotten fucked over too many times this season for it to be a coincidence. I am pissed but proud of the boys, they fucking handed it to Liverpool in the dumping ground of a shit stadium that is the Kop. The ref called the weakest penalty possible, it could not have been worse especially given what happened in the first leg.

This game was ours for the taking, but we are a very unhealthy side now. Sanderos was clowned twice. That sh*t does not happen with Sagna in the game, but that is the soccer Gods speaking I guess.
I love Wenger, but he should have been more aggresive in the transfer season if he wanted us to truly compete for both the Prem League and CL. Players wear out from playing so much, not to mention injuries. Need quality strikers that can create opportunities for themselves.

The penalty that was awarded was exactly – EXACTLY – the same as the Hleb incident at The Emirates in the first leg. Did we get that? It’s the inconsistency that fans can’t stand.

Arsenal are just having the worst run at the moment. Since Sagna got injured at chelsea we had to put senderos in, and i actually cant remember the last good thing he did for the club. Then we go against chelsea, bolton, liverpool 3 fucking times, and manu next week. ALL of the liverpool games should’ve been won by us but every fucking time we should have a penalty or a free kick the refs just shake their heads.

You cant blame it on the ref, Arsenal got beat. The tie was lost when the gunners failed to win at Highbury, no team wants to go to Anfield having to win in a European match, the scousers are proper pros when it comes to Europe and the Kop is one of the most fearsome things to face in all of football even without the terracing. Incidentally, the Kop is just one stand, not the whole ground. I think the Arse should be chuffed to bits to have got as far as they have this year, they were amazing against Milan, and in the league United are a way better side, but were trailing the gunners for most of the season, so hats off to all those younguns who will no doubt make Arsenal the team to beat in the next few years. No trophies this year though methinks…

Kolo did not pull Babel back as Kuyt did to Hleb last week raising his hand up and that with the ref only about 5 meters away. And to think this ref was farther and gave a penalty … I will seriously reconsider following football the officials have destroyed the game.

its funny because in the CL final we made it to, part of the reffing crew was photographed with a barca jersey the day before we played them. now we get screwed when hleb is spun by kuyt but when babel is stumbling and falls when he feels toure near him, its a penalty with not even a second thought by the ref.

Why start Eboue? Useless. Walcott has been looking to break into the starting XI and proved that he should be there at the San Siro, at the JJB against Birmingham (2 goals after Eduardo and the team were broken), and against Liverpool in the last week’s 2 games and finally again today. I love AW, classiest manager in football, but Hleb up front with Adebayour? Bench Eboue and put Walcott and Ade up front with Hleb working the right side. Regardless of how the Gunners stack up on Sunday at Old Trafford, I hope for Theo’s sake that he’s starting.
That being said, the boys played an inspired game and were cheated once again. Toure brushed up against Babel’s back and the cunt went down like his whore mother in the Red Light district. Penalty shot.. yellow card!?!!. Hleb gets dragged back as he’s got an open run at the net.. no call. Thanks UEFA for hiring some truely awful officials. While I’m happy that Liverpool are through I have to say that we got very lucky last week with the lack of a penalty, and the penalty earlier. I know how it feels to be cheated by the refs, I really do think the quality of the refs in these two matches leaves much to be desired. Walcott’s run truely deserved to end in the match-winning goal. A Champions League tie should be won from skill, not bad refereeing decisions.
Tough luck, Gunners, but know that not all Liverpool fans are as retarded as some of those who posted here. I do hope you beat Man Utd and fight all the way to the finish for the Premiership.

Man Utd fan here. I watched both legs and must say Arsenal were truly wronged. Liverpool should be thanking the referee for this one. I thought Arsenal would get a decision in their favour tonight after UEFA had screwed them over in the first leg. I was shocked to see them get screwed again, and the ref wasn’t even close to the play.
Arsenal v Chelsea would’ve been a good tie, Chelsea and Liverpool will be very boring.

Wow, i could not believe the outcome of the game…. I was writing an exam in the first couple of minutes and rushed to the closest TV only to see Liverpool score the first goal…. (that was a little disappointing) but I still had faith in a beautiful come back by arsenal.
The Adebayor Goal was absolutely great and for anyone who knows about Soccer we should be really proud of Theo, Even though 4 players tried to bring him down on his build up for the goal, he did not even stumble, that’s what I call a real class player..
But as in most cases we always get fucked, for some reason the ref never seem to be fair with us, i personally would like to cause some physical harm to one of them, but that’s just me….
I guess the only thing left now is the anxiety of what the 2008-2009 season will bring… Till then best of Luck to everyone

Regardless of the bullshit refereeing going on at Anfield today, I have to say that our gunners played some of the most beautiful football I have seen them play since this shit month of games has descended on us. Adebayor, Eboue, and Walcott were unbelievable at important situations, and I felt like no one in the world was better than Arsenal when Abou Diaby scored. All in all last night was a penalty. Traoré threw himself into the back of Babel causing him to lose balance, he then continued to run in the same direction causing a further force on the player. It was the initial hit that caused the penalty as he caused Babel to lose his feet. A penalty is when a foul is committed in the box. If that foul was committed in the centre of the field you wouldn’t even remember it today. A foul is a foul.

Guys, why do we have to be so immature about this? If myself and other Pool fans can admit that we got lucky, why do some of you have to sully the name of Liverpool with your comments. Managers and players shake hands after a game, shouldn’t fans too?
The whole reason Arsenal fans are so upset is because some of us are going around proclaiming that we were superior to Arsenal last night. We weren’t, unless luck is one of the factors involved. I have a conscience and I have to say it was pretty even until the penalty decision. That was the turning point. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad we won, but I’m also ashamed that we had to win through a dubious decision. All credit to Stevie G for taking the penalty, the pressure must have been immense, but is it truly something to brag about to others? It was our lucky break.
Think about it, if we were denied a clear penalty against Chelsea, and a soft one given against us, how would we feel? I’m sure most of us would remember a certain Rob Styles?
And what about the disputed goal that allowed us to beat Chelsea last time in the semis? We get some decisions, others we don’t. It’s football. Why can’t we give credit to the Gunners for the good football they brought to Anfield last night and feel for them that they were hard done by a decision?

Plenty of schools, yeah. I was educated entirely in Liverpool and I get higher scores than a good percentage of Southern folk. I’m currently at Liverpool university and plan to travel abroad to gain my masters.
Penalties are common in finals because the two teams competing are usually so equally matched. Penalties are the sudden death of any game and we always seem to do well. If you argue against that then you’re clearly being ignorant.
Arsenal deserved to win last night, but you didn’t. Get off the discussion and start worrying about your Premiership chances. That’s all you’ve got left and it isn’t looking very good right now.
As a Northerner I hope a Northern team wins. As long as we settle our 4th spot I’ll be happy overall.

Just saw the replay, as an impartial Newcastle supporter I say that Liverpool are very lucky to progress. That is a fantastic dive by Ryan Babel which unfortunately has become part of the game so you Gooners should just accept that. Take some heart in knowing you deserved to be in the semis and got shifted. Next year maybe.

I’ll have to agree with Embarrassed Reds Fan. The same thing happened with Milan in 2005 in the finals with Gerrard scoring a penalty. Liverpool just got lucky as they always have.
But you have to admit, Liverpool actually have a good side. For some reason their teamwork is just shaite. They play inconsistently. They drew with Luton 1 – 1 but killed them 5 – 0 after that. Wtf is going on?
All in all they’ll be facing Chelsea next round, and either Man United (which they lost 3 – 0 in the EPL match) or Barcelona so we’re not out of the woods yet. Lets not get cocky.

One was given, one was not given… and on the second leg you were the Lucky side, just looked at the statistic how many big chances that LFC had on Crouch, Risse and Benayoun… This is the reality of Football, on Anfield you played better only at 25 minutes on the first half.. and the rest of the time it bellong to LFC… You guys had to go to other level of winning mentallity for European Championship. LFC on the second game (EPL) and the Third game(UCL) were better than Gunners…

The gunners were unfortunate…… the penalty decision was stupid…. but cn u do??? And besides if u think about it.. Man Utd, Liverpool all have expiereinced players in the ranks and the sme wit Chelsea.. for a team to wave an age average of 22.4 (Sunday Times), Arsenal have done extremely well, we hve struggled wen it cmes to pressure and since we dnt hve many expreinced players we falter! Arsenal will get sumthing next year, definetly, as long as no one has any plan to break one of strikers leg’s, we will definetly get something next year!!
