Manchester United sign 9 year old Rhain Davis; Beckham screws Toronto FC fans

I just had to make a mini-post about this. We talk about Arsene Wenger signing “young” players, Man Utd just signed a 9 year old tot named Rhain Davis after his grandfather saw the chance to exploit his little grandson at the earliest of ages. Take a look at the YouTube and you can see what Ferguson saw in the kid. He’s obviously way above anyone else’s skill level.
Imagine running around in Grade 4 and telling all the girls you play for Manchester United. This kid’s getting laid as we speak.
David Beckham is not playing against Toronto FC. This is pretty shitty for anybody who paid $350 for a single ticket to watch Becks fire a few freekicks. Beckham didn’t even travel with the team to Dallas so if that happens again there goes any chance of seeing Posh in the stands here in Toronto. I’m just glad my bid to get tickets was unsuccessful.

Just because he’s this good now does not mean he’s going to be a professional footballer. These skills don’t get better progressively with age but tend to flatten out, so by the time he’s 17 or 18 he’ll be a lot like other teens who were just slower in developing their skills.

Rhain Davis is only 9. What people dont realize is that he was not signed but accepted to play for Man Utd’s youth academey where Man Utd will pay for his schooling which is 2hrs a day and the rest is playing soccer. If he develops wells and sticks with it he will work his way through the Man Utd academey teams and maybe play for the senior squad with the like of Ronaldo and Rooney. The other possibility is that he signs with a diffrent EPL or pro club since he will be noticed by other EPL clubs’ academey teams that he plays. He wont make any money until he signs a pro contract which he hasn’t. HE’S ONLY ON THE MANCHESTER UNITED ACADEMEY TEAM not senior squad.

he is a good player for his age but i live in vancouver and im 13
when i was 9 i was fast and got past everyplayer in my team! but now im one of the best in BC and play for NTC soccer. and hope 2 go 2 eurrope one day! other polayers will develop to being like him slower!

ummm he didnt get signed…he got invited to the academy…along with like 40 other kids his age…the only reason there’s hype is because he the best of the lot…
