I am with you to a point on the "D", but I think that a lot of the back four's faults were being exposed in the second half largely due to both Edu and Robinson having sub-par games in the midfield. DC were a rested team (had they played in two weeks?) and our side looked fatigued.
Your CBC story has roots. Family legend has it that there was a FA Cup final in the sixties that my uncle particularly wanted to see. Back then the tape would be flown over and put on the tube here a week later. My uncle avoided all tv,radio and paper for that week. He settles down to watch the game on CBC and the CBC announcer introduces the game with the final result as a prominent part of his intro. Somethings never change....
