I mean if that was the case then why take a timeout? If you're going to freestyle it, you have a better chance of catching the defense off-guard by not calling timeout and allowing them to set. I got to say both of them were drawn up "plays", especially the three at the end, they looked pretty committed on getting TJ a three. coach, they were coming out of a timeout, it had to be a real play. He was doing what he was told to do. How easily Luke was able to score on the play after it is too sharp of a contrast for me.
