Just like all the shareholders don't agree/understand a company's vision, in the same manner it's tough for the general public to agree with the government's view on many issues. It's a complicated problem but there's got to be a way where intelligent, educated and informed people get to make critical decisions. I don't claim to have a solution. That’s a great analogy. In fact I wanted to Google up and see if there were other people who thought like me. I am not a great fan of democracy but that doesnt mean that I support extremism or violence. I believe democracy is a model that promotes mediocrity and corruption. when you invest in the market you invest in a company that has a vision. Now imagine a country which is nothing but a large enterprise now how can you have everyone sharing the same vision?? you either have people who dont know anything about the people they vote or you have people who just dont care.
